We'll be at WDW the last full week of April 2018, and this week is my 180 day window so I'm trying to get my dinning reservations figured out. Two notes:
We plan on doing a sit-down dinner at AK regardless. My preference is Yak and Yeti but am open to Tuskar House (Tiffins is just too pricey for the package) if I decide to go the package route.
So the reason I'm considering the package is so we don't have to kill our whole evening waiting in line and then waiting some more once seated for the show to start. That said, if we don't have to get there super early to snag a seat then I'd rather just eat at Yak and Yeti.
So, if we do standby, how early do we need to head over to RoL for the first (or only) showing? I'm not looking for the best seat in the house, we just want to make sure we can get in to the show. And I do expect to have to wait some, I know I can't stroll in 5 minutes to show time, like I said earlier I just don't want to kill our evening waiting around. Been there/done that with Fantasmic/Illuminations/MK fireworks and I'm over it! I'd rather have a less than ideal viewing spot or pay for a package if it means I'm not saving a spot or waiting in line for 90+ minutes.
Any insight is appreciated!
- I don't want to do FP+ for RoL as I'd rather use it for something else and have the option of getting more FP later in the day once we use the first 3.
- We would only do the 1st show (if multiple shows are offered) as we don't want to have our 5 year out so late
