Is it possible to get ROL as a 4th FP? If it is available day of how early in the day does it typically book up? Or does it just pop up randomly throughout the day as people drop?

How early do you need to get there for standby?

Yes, you can snag it as a fourth. I did that on spring break for a party of 6.

You can usually get it as a 4th FP.

Standby or FP I'd aim to show up 30 min prior to showtime

Agree with showing up about 30 minutes before for standby. If it is a night with 2 shows, the second generally is less crowded and should have no problem getting a seat.

We've had no issue getting a 4th (or 5th) FP+ for it, but we preferred the second show. 1. it's less crowded and 2. we had more time to explore Pandora at night prior to ROL. That said, you may not need a FP+ for the second show, as it WAY less crowded.

Kids will be 4 and 7 next time we go. Not sure we would be able to stay for the second show. I can see the appeal though!
