ROL Package...what if it rains?

I have a ROL/Tusker House package in a couple weeks. If it rains and ROL gets cancelled, are we allowed to come back on another day and get the reserved seating? I would hate to pay extra for my meal (not on a dining plan) and then lose out due to weather. I also understand that it may just be a risk you take and there are no guarantees. Just curious if anyone knows what happens in this scenario.

It's the same as Fantasmic to the best of my knowledge. It's a risk you take with the packages. No refunds and no rain checks.

I'm 99% sure you are given a voucher to attend another showing of RoL within the following 7 days.
Very close. This is the exact wording from Disney. "If there is a show cancellation, Guests with dining packages will have a 5-day window (the next consecutive 5 days after the cancellation) to see another “Rivers of Light” performance."

is that the same for fantasmic?

We were there Monday, May 22nd when the floodgates opened as we were wrapping up dinner. Talked to the manager at Tusker House and was told...

If ROL is cancelled (usually doesn't happen until at least 8:30) then you will be issued a rain check good for the next 7 days. You can pick up rain check at the ROL entrance or Guest Services. We hung around in Tusker House lobby until the rain let up and then went and had henna done. After that we had killed enough time and the rain slacked off. We found our entrance and settled in for the show. It started sprinkling right about the time the show should have started and we assumed that they would delay it. Nope, show started on time and we watch through sprinkles and heavier rain but still no cancellation. I get the felling that there has to be major lightening and thunderstorms before a cancellation. Watching the show in the rain, had some added effects to the water features so it was pretty cool to see like that once.

To add to this mix, if you don't have a park hopper and you've already entered another park for the day, do you think they would make an exception for a rain check for this?

I don't believe they would budge for that. I've never heard of any other exceptions being made for non-hopper people.

We are going to AK in Sept. You said you had henna done there. Can you explain what it entails and where it is located, please?

It was in the front porch of a store in Africa (in the area of the Dawna Bar/Tusker House). You picked a design or showed the young lady what you wanted (my sister found an image on her phone that she preferred). Took 10-15 depending on the design and then you needed to let the Henna set for 20 minutes (there were extra seats by her table). You couldn't get the design wet for 2 hours. Quick, easy and really cute. designs last 7-10 days. We had it done on May 22nd and there are still some signs of mine left on my hand.
