Roger's US text plans?

My wife use a Roger's phone and will be traveling next week to meet me in Houston. We usually rely on my blackberry, but she has a Roger's phone. Can anyone recommend a simple upgrade that gives a few emergency cell minutes plus 50 to 100 texts?

i have rogers as well. When we went away i added on a one time package of 25 texts and it was 12.50. They have a few options, they have 100 texts for 23.75, also 15 min voice for 14.25. They also have a combo pack of 100 texts and 40 minutes for $38. I only bought the texts because i had a good phone card i used for all my calls.

Even with a calling card you still pay roaming. I'm on Telus. They have 1 month US Roaming Pass. I think I paid $20 for 1 month unlimited text.
I have a calling card to use with hotel phone.
iPhone plans for roaming are very expensive

I bought a week long plan with Rogers when I was down in California. Well, I bought it before I left. It gave me 100 texts and 40 minutes of talk time.

I got the US Combo travel pack 3 at the very bottom. It's a little pricey, but cheaper than paying their roaming and long distance fees.

We have done the txt plan as well, found it easier for anyone to just txt (free to recieve) we would let them know when we were in the room and then they could call us!

just wanted to add i didnt use the calling card for my cellphone. Just for when we were at our hotel so we could call home at the end of the day when we wanted to. We used the texts to let people know where we were and to get texts from them about anything that was going on.
