I know we had so many new friends cheering for us, but I found out our contract was ROFR today. Of course we are sad as we went to $77 per point but those days are gone.

SSR is waiting for us at $86 and I am asking for them to pay closing. Since they will do it for the cruise line folks.

I'm sorry to hear this. I read your other thread where you said you increased your original offer but I couldn't figure out from your post whether your offer went through at $77/pt or whether the paperwork had already been filed at the original offer of $75/pt.

The $86/pt deal at SSR is a good deal and buying directly from Disney is quick and easy. On the other hand, if you really want to buy an OKW resale, it can be done. Just review the most recent ROFR thread entries for contracts of a similar size and offer a price right at or $1/pt above the contracts that have recently passed ROFR.

you might reconsider - I think Disney looks at the seller paying closing first. don't remember where I read that if I did?

When I looked back at it I just had to laugh. Thank you for fixing it for me. It was then that I knew I was more upset than what I thought. You are so nice for doing that for me.

Now I am typing with a finger in a splint. I broke it at Fantasmic but it would not heal because I kept hitting it with the horse work. So, one week and it should be ok, and my typing should be better,


Spicey, how come the closing cost can vary then? I though I read that they were really low for the cruise folks and they offered us much lower because I am paying cash. I am just happy to save money.

Why aren't you buying SSR "DIRECT" from Disney??

The price is still $86. per pt (with a member referral), no big $$ closing fee or waiting for ROFR... and you will get the contract....instantly!!!!
