Thank you!!! If you see me post another ROFR please remind me that i will be headed for divorce and to seek help immediatelyWay to go! You stuck to your plan and got what you wanted. Nicely done.
Glad you're matching your use years now, also nice deal for SAPThanks! I was not expecting anyone to accept a contract that wasn't stripped for less than $85 and pay MF.
Www.dvcresalemarket.com told me it wasn't going to happen without it being stripped because I wanted an unstripped for $80pp.
Made several offers at once. They were asking $95 and when I offered $80 with MF paid by seller, I was surprised they countered with $85 and MF paid. I pushed back with random $82 and they bit. This all happened in roughly 20 minutes of me looking
Intention of this is for SAP and it matches one of my UY, two is enough for me![]()

Yes, thanks! No matter what it truly is easier like thisGlad you're matching your use years now, also nice deal for SAP![]()
What’s SAP?Glad you're matching your use years now, also nice deal for SAP![]()
Sleep Around Points....it means you buy them with the sole intention of using them elsewhere.....not bought for home resort stays. What’s SAP?
Ow, I thought that was implied when he said Saratoga points (I kid, I kid…)Sleep Around Points....it means you buy them with the sole intention of using them elsewhere.....not bought for home resort stays.

No need for kidding. That’s how the guides marketed it when it was in active sales! “Buy SSR and swap at 7 months!”Ow, I thought that was implied when he said Saratoga points (I kid, I kid…)
I actually did the math and it comes out to just paying $16 more to sell my other contract points at $18 (BLT or AKV) and then turn around and rent a Riviera one bedroom reservation for four nights in January from Davids, than what a Riv owners value of points for booking is. Then I can use my SSR SAP points to stay every where else.No need for kidding. That’s how the guides marketed it when it was in active sales! “Buy SSR and swap at 7 months!”
Not a good strategy imo. Remember renting doesnt come with flexibility as owning does. If buying SAP I would just accept that you wont be staying at RIV. Not a huge deal when there are so many other options.I actually did the math and it comes out to just paying $16 more to sell my other contract points at $18 (BLT or AKV) and then turn around and rent a Riviera one bedroom reservation for four nights in January from Davids, than what a Riv owners value of points for booking is. I thought that was amazing for whenever I want to stay at Riv.
This is ofc when you factor in SSRs lower maintenance fees annually on a 150 point contract which is almost $1000 less annually than a Riv 150 point contract. That's when I pulled the trigger for resale only.
Don't forget you'll pay income tax on the rental income.I actually did the math and it comes out to just paying $16 more to sell my other contract points at $18 (BLT or AKV) and then turn around and rent a Riviera one bedroom reservation for four nights in January from Davids, than what a Riv owners value of points for booking is. Sooo…do you think this will be all the points you need? Is direct still in consideration for the future? Or maybe this purchase will get you everything you need! Thanks! I was not expecting anyone to accept a contract that wasn't stripped for less than $85 and pay MF.

Did i mention that math was my worse subject in high school lollll no idea where I came up with that please ignore everyoneDon't forget you'll pay income tax on the rental income.
Also I'm calculating the difference in annual maintenance fees at $81, not $1000. Are you including a straight line amortization of the initial purchase price in that estimate?
Seriously especially with my math skillsNot a good strategy imo. Remember renting doesnt come with flexibility as owning does. If buying SAP I would just accept that you wont be staying at RIV. Not a huge deal when there are so many other options.
When you feel the FOMO just buy directSeriously especially with my math skillsI don't plan to stay there often, but once in a blue moon when I'm feeling FOMO perhaps
Yep - I came here to say just that! When you feel the FOMO just buy direct![]()
