The closing costs are an estimate. I will update after we pass and I get the real number. We didn't need this many points, but I was getting FOMO watching all the great deals slip by.
Awesome price! I think we put a bid on this contract but got rejected 😬. Got an accepted contract with another broker for Aulani and waiting to be sent to Rofr.

Really? The original price was $88 per point. What did you offer? Congrats on your new contract!

I was shocked they accepted my offer. I had to go back and show my DH all the previous Aulani sales over the past six months to convince him this was a great deal.

Im going to admit… i really offered a low ball offer of 70. We knew it was a long shot but just took our shot anyways 😬. We found a 150 point contract instead that I think was better suited for us.

Your lowball offer probably helped them accept my less-of-a-lowball offer. So... thanks! Lol. :P

This is probably 125 more points than I was aiming for (we already have a subsidized Aulani contract with 203 points, and I can't picture us using 403 DVC points a year, since we have three weeks with a different timeshare also), but I liked the price and no one seemed to fall for my lowballs for the smaller contracts. Hopefully I can successfully rent some to offset the dues.

What did you end up paying per point on your 150 contract?

Lol… they probably were insulted by mine but its all good 😂. We got ours for 80 pp. Feb use year as well like our other contracts. No banked points but has full 2023 points. Hoping to use at Aulani for our first visit Summer 2024.

I was really hoping to find a subsidized contract. Saw one on www.fidelityrealestate.com but it disappeared within hrs. It was also for 300 points so lot, lot more than I want.

Yeah renting is a good option to help with dues. Aulani dues are a bit intimidating to me thats why Im not too upset about losing the 200 pt contract 😬

You got a great deal and a great contract! Want to swap? J/k.

I was less nervous buying our subsidized contract, because I knew they were easy to sell, should I ever want out. This one feels a little more like a gamble. I am not someone who plans to hold until the resort expires. I'll try not to overthink it (or stress prematurely over the dues) and just picture myself floating around the lazy river. :fish:

I also had put in an offer on a contract that was exactly this, but at $82.50 per point! haha! Great price.

Edit: Oh! I just read your other posts! It was in fact the same contract! So actually this contract was first listed at $92.50 per point, and I first offered $70 per point and was rejected. Then I offered $82.50 per point and somehow the seller reduced it to $87.50 per point, but didn't comment on my offer - I had to prod them - and then the seller accepted, but said they wanted me to pay all the closing costs including seller commission so I said no. Glad someone was able to snag it!

Wow! So funny we were all chasing the same contract. I wonder how many other people put offers in that don't happen to be on this thread? Well, thanks everyone for making my offer look more acceptable. Maybe we should all work together like this in the future should we need more points? ;)
