The cynical side of me says DVD is waiving their Right on all of these so they can start picking up those small direct buy add-ons and/or to appease the angry masses.

Just wondering... Only because my DVC Direct cousin made the point - are those smaller 25 pt contracts part of the DVC Direct benefits package? Hmmmm...

OKW and SSR seem to have 25 points as the min for new contracts so even if it is you could go that route. I am wondering if I purchased 25 direct to get my full member privileges what would happen if I sold my 25 point direct contract and kept my resale. I will wait and see if anyone else trys it first as I don't feel like taking one for the team on this.

It's a shame they did not honor all who were already under contract however this is going to be the game moving forward no matter where they drew the line.

I've been in the ROFR process for a few weeks now on my first contract so while I am frustrated about all of this I look at it like this - they kinda just missed out on a bunch of my money. I had planned on buying the Annual Passes & going at least twice a year - now I'll just pass on the Annual Passes & go once a year or every other year. I have a Disney Visa so the only real benefit I feel I am losing is the Annual Pass.

1st post. Closing on VGF, 200 points, August, $140/pt, 200-2015, 200 Aug 2016, 200 Aug 2017, $1142 16' maintenance, $360 closing costs. Off to rofr. Upon passing rofr, plan to buy 25 more points direct, so as to not be a "2nd tier member".

I'd love to add you, if you could please take a look at the format on Page One and repost

They waive something like 98% normally, so likely not

I was told the 25 points purchased in addition to your resale, gets you DVC card holding benefits. Will double check.
