This is starting to be a filthy habit. I pulled up a DVC listing website on Wednesday, saw a small, reasonably priced contract that fit my use year, and decided to make an offer on the spur of the moment.

***i have a feeling it's becoz Disney is now selling OKW with extended contract end year to 2057 they'll make more $$$ by taking contracts and use those points for direct sale a ~ oh well..we signed a new contract for BWV on 9/25 as well now back to waiting for our 2nd rofr process to get done

Just lost this one .............

This one went to ROFR today ! Not the deal of the century , but we had a VERY hard time finding VWL to match our UY, and we needed some current 2014 points to go with it for next year . Seems like an awful lot of contracts are stripped on the resale market .

(there would have been 150/'13 points, but the sellers were not "current" with MF's , so they couldnt bank them )

Sellers waited until the deal was done and sent to Disney for ROFR to decide to declare bankruptcy



But in a turn of good luck, we were able to transfer our deposit over (time saver !) with the title co. and agent to another contract that just came up for sale ..........I think a slightly better deal .......... Nice loaded contract for a fair price . The "free" points will come in handy next year !

The more research I did I may have paid to much but really wanted BCV and have been waiting awhile for it to come through direct and never did. It seems like there are not a lot of BCV resale's to do research on to see if I paid to much. Either way guess it doesn't matter, I'm happy!

If I could buy all over again, I'd wait for a loaded contract. A few extra $ upfront might keep me out of borrowing mode. I feel like we are gonna be borrowing for a while.

Wow, thats a great price for a REALLY loaded contract. If Disney waives it through ROFR, the 2012 270 points will need to be used very quickly ! Even if you are figuring on the loss of the 2012 270 points ..........its still a great price !
I think you just beat me to grabbing this one ............Was it through Fidelity ?

I doubt there is any chance we have access to banked '12s before 11/30.

Yes it was Fidelity. The seller had 2 almost identical contracts listed there. We are not getting our hopes up on ROFR, but who knows..
