i realize, many variables

which DVC resort?banked points?
borrowed points?

etc

but what is the minimum offer, on any dvc contract, to get past DISNEY ROFR.

is it $65 per point???

$65 may work at HH and VB, too low for WDW I think - perhaps if contract stripped it might be close

Thanks

There is no good rhyme or reason. Sometimes they'll buy one at a higher level and let a cheaper one go through. If you find a contract that works for you and you are definitely planning on buying DVC, why sweat it over a few hundred dollars. OTOH, if you are looking for a bargain or nothing and willing to take the chance and walk away, squeeze the pig till it squeals.

Last year I bought BWV at $54 pp when the hard floor seemed to be at $58 pp. I bought last spring with a Dec use year. There were only a few points but i paid no dues extra. I'd already had one bought back at the same level and didn't expect it to go through but it did. I would not have bought for even a few hundred $$ more since I already had enough points and it was just a home resort additin I was looking at.

I was told Disney lets contract go if they dont have any current members waiting for the points with that use year, and if they wont loose any money on the deal. This is why sometimes you will see a good deal get by while other times they scoop up something high.

A broker just broke it down for me like this, recently. She hasnt seen anything for less than $65 for HH; 69 for OKW; and 70-72 for the others get past Disney, lately.

We are in the process of closing on 300 pts at OKW. It took ROFR about 4 weeks to approve, but they did approve it. It also includes all of this year's points and we paid 1/3 of the maintenance fees for the year. So, even with maintenance and closing costs, it worked out to be under $68 / point. The time share store salesman did not think it would go through and had even encouraged us to raise the price they were asking. I've seen several at a higher price get bought back by Disney. The only thing I can figure is that we are already DVC Owners (3 contracts - all through Disney) and I called my DVC CM and asked him for any assistance or pixey dust that he could provide. Good luck. The only thing you lose for trying is time...
