ROFR = holding my breath for 30 days

I thought it would be fun to start a thread for those of us going through the terrible thirty days of breath holding! I will start...

My breath was taken away yesterday with the news that my contract had been submitted to Disney for points at AKL. This will be my first (and only for a while... check the wallet...) DVC contract. I am trying to breath into a paperbag and will report back if that is working. If I don't report back, I am probably blue in the face laying on the floor!!

I'll be right there with you. We just did our verbal agreements on a contract today. Waiting on the contract paperwork and then ROFR

Good luck, we just went through that stage, now in the "Waiting for seller to return final documents" stage!

As long as your buying price isn't way below market, and you aren't buying BCV, I wouldn't worry too much about ROFR.

Ah,yes-I remember it so clearly. I'm just slightly ahead of you all-now I'm in the "waiting for my points to post so I can make a reservation". I check the Members' website about twice a day. It's been 5 days since we closed, so it should be soon.

I'm with you!! My contract for OKW 70 points was submitted to Disney on 1/5/11. This will be my first and probably only contract for a while too. Unless I come into some money somehow and then I'd like more points so I can get a one bedroom. But for now it is studios for us !

We're waiting for our 30 day ROFR, too. We are buying SSR and I am spending all my free time on these boards trying to learn as much as possible. I can't wait to close so I can book our first trip! Good luck to everyone who is waiting like us!

Yay! It was such a great feeling to be able to use our new points over the weekend. Although TTS said it could take up to 10 days, it took 8. I'm so relieved that for us, the waiting process is done. Good luck to all of you still waiting.

We just submitted our 4th contract for ROFR on the 13th of Jan, 150 points at the VWL! We refinanced some property that we recently inherited, after years of scraping the bottom of the barrel to make ends meet. We decided to pick up points at VGC, VWL and BCV while we have some liquid cash!

VGC have been in my account and already allocated with a stay in June, however, these BCV points are terribly elusive. I watched five contracts for my UY slip by during the seven months that we have been working on the refinancing. I hope that we pass ROFR on VWL and get the points by mid March so I can change my Oct/Nov stay to the VWL from SSR before 7 months hit (not that I don't love SSR, but I still haven't tried all the resorts yet! We'll be back at SSR in 2012!)

You have a very good chance. DVC has only be ROFRing BCV the last 6 months - 90-95% of the ROFR points were at BCV.
