Newbie here! This is my first DVC purchase and I purchased resale. It was submitted April 19th- SSR 100pts/ 95pp. Any insight of ROFR timelines for decisions made by Disney the past couple of months?

Your agent should be able to give you a ballpark figure as to how long ROFR should take. I believe that Disney has 30 days to exercise their rights. However, they could extend that deadline if they wish. I recently purchased a VGF contract and it passed ROFR 2 weeks after my offer was accepted. I had another contract pass ROFR the day after my offer was made last year.

FWIW, Disney seems to be taking a lot of SSR contracts right now and they are taking their time passing on the ones they don't take.

My guess is that Disney works on direct sales first and then resales when they get the time. Recently bought direct and points were loaded in a couple of hours. If direct sales are brisk, resales may take awhile to be processed.

It's right around 2-3 weeks for passes and just over that to 30 days for taken. I recently had one taken at 22 or 23 days. Others have passed anywhere from 5 days after submission to 3 weeks or so. Also, I don't think they've done a lot since last Tuesday. There were a few really high dollar ones that passed and some at the non-WDW locations, but we have yet to see another large volume of passes since last Tuesday. Also, the cutoff date for submissions was 4/15, I think, for those that heard back on Tuesday. If you don't hear back this week, it is probably (not definitely) taken. Hope this helps.

I’m on day 21 today. I received a tweet from my resale broker with a congrats to the 13 people that passed ROFR yesterday. not mine and I’m not feeling very confident at this point.

I'm sorry. That's really annoying. What broker did you use? Not all of the title companies work on the weekends which slows down the notifications some.

I’m using Timeshare Store. They’ve been fine with everything, it’s just disappointing to keep checking and no answer. Oh well maybe tomorrow

I really like them. I've yet to find a contract there where the seller and I agreed to a price, but the broker I work with is always kind and professional. He even told me on one listing that if it was still available in a week or so to check back and see if the seller was more willing to drop his/her price. I hope you get good news in the next couple of days!!!

Thanks for all the responses! I am also using the Timeshare Store and keeping my fingers crossed. It took quite some time to research DVC but the ROFR experience is a killer!

Thanks for the well wishes! I’ve been following your posts... what a time you’ve had! Four contracts taken that’s BS.. sometime I do wonder if they red flag names. We went on a DVC talk at WL last summer and decided at that time to not go direct, I just wonder if they keep names on file. I just may be paranoid Lol

When we purchased our subsidized Aulani contract in November it took 7 days to pass ROFR.

The entire process from offer to points in account was two months. We passed ROFR at the end of November and unfortunately got stuck waiting for estoppel at the beginning of December when DVC is tied up issuing dues statements. Then of course it was Christmas/New Years so that added additional time to receiving closing documents. Also since we are in Canada we had to go to a US consulate to get our closing documents notarized so that added some extra time as well.
