ROFR chances for BWV??

We just put in for a 60 pt. contract at BWV at $75 a point from TTS. I'm HOPING our chances at ROFR are pretty good, but the waiting will be tough and I'm beginning to think, "No, Disney will never let it pass."

I know that being excited will only make the wait longer. ARRG!

We, too, are waiting on ROFR for a 270 pt. BWV contract at $74 per point. Jaki, our broker, said that this price should guarantee getting through ROFR so it seems like you should be okay at $75!

We're into the second week of waiting so hopefully we'll hear back within the next week. Good luck!

Congrats!!! I saw that one pop up, but only as "Sale Pending". Did you see it on the website, or did they call you before it ever went up?

I think you should be fine on ROFR. Remember, the smaller the contract, the more DVC has to pay per point in closing costs, and the less likely they are to buy!!!

Jason at TTS called me just after our package became available. He said he would list it, but as Pending. He said it had just come in. I had just about given up finding a small package at BWV that fit our needs.

I am SOOOO excited! This is our initial purchase. We wanted to start small and work our way up before retirement, and this one will hold us for the next couple of years. My son and his wife were in the College Program at Disney World in 2000 (that's when they met), and they are over the moon at the idea of staying at BWV as members the next time we visit.

I can't imagine that you will have ANY problems passing through Disney! I passed in March with a 160 point contract with a full year of banked points for $70.00 per point at BWV. I think we will soon be welcoming you home!!!

There is absolutely no chance that Disney will take your contract. Once you add the closing costs into the price, you are paying over $80 per point. Disney is reselling BWV points at only $84 per point, so there is no money in it for them to take the contract. Once they factor in their administrative/transactional costs and the commission costs for the subsequent resell, DVC would lose money -- particularly for a 60 point contract.

Congratulations on your purchase into DVC -- you'll have your property in about 4-6 weeks.

Should be no problem. Our BWV went through at $70 per with banked points. (But that doesn't mean it won't seem like it takes forever to hear!)

I think you'll be fine, we just closed last week on a 200 pt. BWV contract at $70 per point and we splt the maint. fees for the year. It took just over 3 weeks to hear back from Disney, Good luck!
