Ok. This took a turn.
Not gonna lie, I thought you were either referring to yourself or speaking in metaphor when you mentioned something about a “sick puppy.” This sounds awful and I can see how this might color perspective on how life can often work against us. I’m sorry this is happening.
As it pertains to ROFR (and honestly all things we tend to rage at while waiting in a long line, sitting in traffic, or waiting for a returned text/email), any perceived slights we feel are amplified because of an acute sensitivity to the urgency we feel in these situation; in your case, a much needed respite from all things ailing-puppy.
I think CookiesandOatmeal and Kathy made a great suggestion that maybe you take a break from watching the boiler pot. I know it’s hard, but this whole Disney timeshare thing can really suck you in given how, for so many of us, the product itself embodies escapism like no other.
ROFR sucks. When it means as much to you as it does in this instance, its complete suckage will only be magnified.
A little perspective… a few weeks from now, regardless of whether or not Disney takes your contracts, you’ll still have amazing trips to plan with your beautiful grandson (who will have no memory of the year he was kept from spending more time with Grandma), you’ll still be cancer free, and in all likelihood, you’ll find you don’t have enough time in a day because healthy, happy, boisterous puppies are a time-suck.
