What Ben said was he told Coach Cowher he did not think he got it when he was on the sideline. He did not say I did not make the touchdown.

I totally agree with this! Big Ben answered Letterman's question HONESTLY, and people are going to take that to mean that he didn't make it??? He told coach Cowher on the sideline that he didn't think he got in. Doesn't mean he didn't...just means he didn't think he did.

i disagreed with you and many steelers fans
i was attacked and to defend my posistion it puts me on the seahawks side
no debating it wont change it
you won polls on cnn, espn, and fox all said the refs changed the outcome of teh game over 70 of the nation agrees you won but im sorry its tainted
when ever anyone talks about the superbowl it will be they won BUT....

Seattle lost momentum in the second half and I have to believe that the bad officiating had a lot to do with that.

I haven't read this whole thread, and I'm not trying to start an argument but...
The Steelers had some really bad calls against them during the Indy game.
But Steelers did not lose momentum, and that is one of the reasons that they ended up winning that game.
Bad calls are going to be made... Unforunately, the reps are not perfect. However, the team has to put those bad calls out of their mind and overcome the obstacles. Otherwise, they lose the game.

And since when are polls correct I remember hearing all over the news that Kerry was going to be president based on "polls" and was actually surpised to find out later than Bush had won.

During The KDKA coverage of the Steeler parade in Pittsburgh today, a reprter asked Ben about the statement. Ben said that he had since seen the tape of the play and that it was in. What he said on Leterman was seemingly just his thoughts at the time of the play.

Here is an example on this thread by someone who saw a reporter in the news that explains Bens comments on David Letterman AND that Ben has seen the tape of the play and he thinks the ball is in. Did you see this? Or are you ignoring his response because it doesnt fit with what you want to believe?

On the other Steeler thread there is an article writen by an ESPN guy that says his thoughts are that the Seahawks lost the game by.....and listed a whole lot of reason why (which, BTW did not include the refs). Did you see that news story?

What do you want the Steelers to do, just hand over the championship? Where are they suppose to go from here? They did not make these calls. As a Hawk player stated, this is out of your hands, what are you going to do? Well, the same applies to the Steelers.

I think we've proven that the Steelers would still have won if the TD wasn't taken back AND Ben's TD was. You would have gotten 4 more points, we'd have had 4 less. You still lose!

Agreed, but it's been 26 years since they've won a championship game. They're happy right now, happy would be the understatement of the year really, and because of circumstances that are beyond their control, their victory has to be tainted. How fair is that to them?
