Is this ride identical to the Orlando version at MGM Studios? I hope so!

If it isn't exactly identical I think it's pretty much the same thing.

In the Brits Guide it says "it is a slightly revised version of the one at MGM making it a different experience". Haven't done it myself as I am too much of a wimp! :scared:

its great... not been to WDW so can't compare... but it was the smoothest coaster i've ever been on... (i preferred it to SM!!)

The actual "ride" itself is better than WDW's R 'n' R, like BTM, but the content of the ride is better in WDW. You don't get all the hollywood signs and the donuts to go through which I think is a shame as I always laugh at myself for ducking on the ride as if i'm gonna hit it! :rotfl:

I agree, the actual ride is very similar. Including the evil start!!! The missing signs etc won't be a problem if you ride it with your eyes shut and cheeks puffed out (my dad!) :rotfl: .

Theres a lot of dry ice used in the DLRP version that I don't recall from the WDW one. It made our eyes run a bit but it is an exhilarating coaster and as Urglewurgle says very smooth.:goodvibes

Its much better than the Orlando one IMHO - im sure it has more turns in it and seems faster, but it has basically the same Start and a slightly different theme.!

I found it brighter inside and not as loud as WDW. I think the DLP version is better.

As a bit of a coaster fanatic, I've ridden both versions FAR too many times! I'm going to agree with Emmo in that the track (and therefore the ride) is slightly better in the Paris version, but the themeing is far better in the Florida one. But overall there's not much in it.
