Rockin' Rollercoaster-Boy Dies

I've been in wdw when deaths occur. (Everyone remember the poor girl on TOT last summer? I was in MGM that day and rode tot twice I think.) my mom actually told the cm on duty that she didn't want to ride it because she thought she'd have a heart attack. the cm said, "oh don't be silly. no one's died yet!" we left the park and then my grandma called my mom freaking out because she thought I was on the ride when it happened.

Walt Disney World was not at fault. Neither was this boy or that girl. It was just an accident that no one knew would happen. and it just happened to happen in wdw.

I was there the same day. I rode the ride like 10 times. When we went back to our room we saw it on the news and it was just like...whoa.

But yeah. It seems like Disney is doing something wrong...but they aren't. I guess it's just a coincidence that all these deaths are in Disney....it's kind of sad actually.

sooo the tip for everybody before going on their next trip.
GO TO THE DOCTOR AND GET A HEAD TO TOE EXAMINATION.
no joke.
i don't want to see anyone of you guys die. or anyone in the world for that fact.

Wow. Talk about a weird feeling!

that happens to me on every ride. i'm not dizzy persay, my hands get all numb with that 'beany' feeling and have a hard time walking.
but that's just because i'm not a thrill ride enthusiast and freak myself out before rides.

i can't find any new information. other than they needed a defibrillator {sp?} and they didn't have one. i have.. like.. two letters!
BS!
Disney has AED's EVERYWHERE!
I some what agree. Perhaps the father did CPR wrong. As CPR on 12 year olds is different than CPR on adults. And without the proper CPR equitment it isnt as efficent. I dont think anyone should be to blame, but especially not disney. My prayers go out the everyone effected by this.

pixie dust on it's way to the family
it's very sad to hear that people die quite alot at disney but there not to blame
oh and some pixie dust to disney for all the things that happened since 2003

Deaths happen all the time unfortuneately... :sad2: but I think people take more notice when it happens at somewhere like Disney World: The Happiest Place on Earth.

Can anyone give me really good details of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster? I'm goin to Disney in 4 days and I really want to go on it! I'm still kind of iffy on the Tower of Terror.

Prayers for the boy and his family. Let us all have a moment of silence on his behalf.

terrible.
yes, it was a congenic (i think) heart condition. it's awful that it happened.
there are still more results to come from the autopsy. that's what CNN said.

but it must be terrible, i mean the father was in Iraq at some point, missing parts of his sons life, to see it be taken away so quickly...

So yeah the seventh death since the 2004 Christmas season. This isn't good. Today a 12 year old boy died. I feel really bad for the family and the Disney company. This has to be hard for them.

very sad news :( :sad2: but i thought there were only 4 deaths before him since the xmas season 2004 (February, 78 yr old died on PotC, June,4 yr old died on M:S, August, 12 yr old died at TL and April, 42 yr old died on M:S sorry if i got age/month wrong)

so now, there is about 18 deaths between the two Disney properties in Orlando & Cali

What a sad event.

But I have to say something kinda tacky but totally honest...what a SWEET way to die. I mean I believe that if it is your time, and God calls your number...it's gonna happen no matter where you are. So if you love Disney and you are having an amazing, adrenaline-rushed, heart-swelling, happy time, what a great way to pass away...

Just another way to look at it. I mean, I want to make it til I'm old...but if I'm gonna die...it might as well be happy as all get-out at WDW... :confused3

& there you go again :teeth:
you can make the saddest thing sound happy.
however, look at it this way; ifyou would have died at his age there, your parents would probably find that the happiest place on earth wasn't just because of a constant reminder that their child's life had been taken away there.

my mother said earlier:
"what a great way to find out you kid had a heart problem"
note the sarcasm as she was using a very sad voice.

This is so sad. Who CARES is Disney isn't to blame, no one said they were. A poor 12-year old child lost his life, and everyone screams "it's not Disney's fault!" Disney is a company, they can handle anything thrown at them. This child's family though... THATS what's sad to think about.

that's so sad!! a 12 year old. I feel sorry for both sides: disney and the family. Disney obviously because it must be horrible for them and they must feel so guilty. And of course the family because well it doesn't need explaining :(. But like other people have said, I don't think it is really Disney's fault, they probably check the rides are safe tons and tons of times. So I think it is because of health problems. Still it's very sad :(

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: Sorry I can't help it!

Anyways, in all seriousness though...my brother is almost 11. If I ever lost him, I don't know what I'd do. So I am going to send some serious  s and pixiedust: his family's way...I can't imagine that happening.

exactly. even if it's not their fault, they must feel awful that something happened in their park. it's kind of like, crossing the street and almost being hit by a car. it's not your fault because you couldn't see it, but you're left feeling that you could have been hurt.
