Rock of Love with Bret Michaels

ETA: I'd rather kiss him than Flavor Flav![/QUOTE]

Yeeeeaaaahhh Boy! :rotfl: I don't see the attraction to Flava Flav he's just kinda icky to me!

I actually thinks he looks good, sans the hair. I don't think he needs the eyeliner, though.

ETA: I'd rather kiss him than Flavor Flav!

Amen!!! I would never wanna kiss him...YUCK!!!!:scared:

How old is Flavor Fav? He looks very very old to me...:lmao: :lmao:
Not saying that old men are ugly...but old men with big clocks around their necks are ugly...:rotfl: :scared:

He's 48...looking a little rough for 48, wouldn't you say? :crazy2:

First of all, I think Bret should just go for it and shave his head. But, I probably feel that way because I think shaved heads are sexy and long, rocker-weaves are.....so not.

Secondly, I was watching "The Soup" the other day, and Joel McHale said "Now, let's check out a clip from 'Rock of Chlamydia'." And it made me laugh. A lot. :rotfl2:

Gotta Get To Disney! :moped:

Ok....I'm 47...and in Way BETTER shape than Bret! The fact that these girls are falling all over him is killing me! GOD! At LEAST I have a six pack! And I do mean abs!!! What a loser!

Ummmm... we might need some proof of this.....:rolleyes1

:lmao:

I don't think Bret needs hair to be a "rocker." Let's take a look at a smattering of bald men:

That dude from Judas Priest
Phil Collins
Moby
Chris Daughtry (yum)
Peter Gabriel
Bruce Willis
Patrick Stewart
Dr. Phil

So there you are. Bald is beautiful, baby. Except on Dr. Phil.
Dude from Judas Priest is Rob Halford.:thumbsup2

Dr. Phil?! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: OMG! That is too funny! The things people do with photoshop!

Dude from Judas Priest is Rob Halford.:thumbsup2

Do you know that Rob Halford is gay? Not that it makes one bit of a difference to me...but I saw him interviewed about it last year...all that masculinity and sweat on stage was never for the ladies....

I've always said if you take away Bret's cowboy hat, bandana, eye liner and hair, and rock star status, he's nothing that would catch a girl's eye twice.

Bret Michaels Interview

You'd think someone like Poison's Bret Michaels wouldn't have any trouble finding dates.

But VH1 wanted to give him a little public help, in the form of what's become his surprisingly successful reality show, "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels."

Michaels split with longtime girlfriend Kristi Lynn Gibson, with whom he has two daughters, 7 and 2, last November. In the show, the rocker tries to find love amid a bevy of willing women.

But they can't just sit around and look pretty Michaels puts them through their paces in some of his own interests, like muddy football games and motocross runs. And of course, when the prize is a successful singer, there's scheming and catfights aplenty.

The show was initially scheduled for a six-episode run, Michaels said.

"After the first night of filming, they saw how crazy it got," Michaels said in a phone interview from Los Angeles. "So by the second night, they had picked up six more and then two more."

Michaels stipulated that the show not be shot at his California ranch; it's filmed at a rented house.

"I didn't want to be that real I didn't want 25 girls I'd never met in my life at my house," he said. "I don't think anyone would do that and forget about the 25 girls, it's the 200 people working on the crew."

"Rock of Love" wraps up Sept. 30; a reunion show runs Oct. 7. Michaels spoke more about the show.

Q: So why'd you do it, that is, try to find a relationship in such a public way? Aren't there bars or Starbucks where you live?

A: Everything has been shut down! I was forced to do reality TV!

When they came with the offer the first time, I was a little reluctant because I'd never done anything like that before.

They were looking for, their exact words, "a legendary guy who can party, has rocked the world, people will know the name and the face." The great thing is, I've partied hard with all the executives at VH-1 and they know the kind of party I can throw!

They would let me be me, no scripted stuff, no acting out the lines they just let me do what I do. I try to be caring when it's time to and I get upset I pretty much was what I was, and they let me do what I like to do.

Q: Did you have any say in picking contestants?

A: No, that was all them. The only thing they had as a rule was that I could have never met or partied with any of these girls before. They didn't want me to have any bias.

Q: Are you looking for someone to hang out with or someone who might work out long-term or both?

A: I went in looking for a fun relationship. I didn't think on TV in a nutty house (that) I was going to find the love of my life. And I would be lying to say I was.

What's really funny is I don't get to see half the stuff that goes on, so I didn't know Lacey was that malicious (for instance) she was nothing but nice to me. I'm only watching it unfold the same time you are.

Q: What will be your ultimate criteria for picking one, aside from can she rock your world?

A: Any relationship usually starts with a physical attraction you say, "I'm attracted to that person, I'd like to get to now know them better." Then you hope there's a great chemistry. I like a good sense of humor. And obviously intelligence, or being able to have some of the same things we can talk about in common.

(I also need someone who will) understand that I don't have a normal, nine-to-five job (and) that the lifestyle is pretty hard to deal with. And they need to understand (that) my daughters would come first; that's the way any good parent is going to be.

Q: Any hints as to who you picked?

A: I can't tell you that, c'mon!

Q: What effect do you think this will have on your daughters?

A: I don't feel either one of them is old enough, obviously, to be watching the show, and not just that show (but) any show of that kind. I didn't do anything on here that's all that embarrassing I'm just being me.

Obviously, I've told my daughters, look, when I got out and Dad's having adult time, I like to party and have fun. I don't hide them from stuff.

And I wouldn't bring the winner into my life this close just yet like I'm not going to say, "Here, girls, here's a new mom." I would never do that. I would introduce them and as we go along and everything unfolds, if it works out between us, that's great. But I'm not looking for someone to replace their mom.

Q: How do you see your show as similar to or different from "Flavor of Love"?

A: I've never done a reality show on VH-1; I don't have what they call any "ramp up." Flav had like four shows and then "Flavor of Love." Flav is great at being a character you almost watch it just to see the train wreck.

(People in the industry see this show) as a hybrid of "Survivor" meets extreme dating you get an action movie and a drama. All the girls on the show knew they would be dating me I think they all went in there looking to hopefully come out of it with a relationship.

Q: Are you surprised by its success? (The show has garnered big numbers for VH-1; the July 29 episode drew 1.9 million viewers in the 18-49 age group, while the Aug. 26 one drew 1.8 million.)

A: I work really hard on the show, and I mean that in a funny way it seems like it should be nothing. I'm really happy it's successful. Obviously, you like to think after 20 years we've got a good following, but there was no way to test the waters I just dove in the deep end of the pool. So yeah, it was nice not to drown!

Q: So what's your next project?

A: We just finished up the Poison tour (in support of covers album "Poison'd").

I go to Iraq to play for the men and women (in the fall; for security reasons, he couldn't say when) and I'm going right into the camps, which will be great. That is such an honor they asked me to do it and knew I'm a big supporter.

And then after I do that, I just put together some solo dates and the solo album comes out. I'm really excited about that.

Right now, obviously, it's spending some time with my kids and just having some fun I've been out there for almost four months this summer and then doing the show prior to that, (so) it's nice to just spend some time with the girls.
