This ride looks really fun but I don't know whether to go on it or not. Is it really scary? Last time I was there I joined the queue but it was really long and I knew I'd wuss out right at the end so I left! I want to go on it but I don't want to regret it. What would you suggest?

I am not the most adventurous person. As a matter of fact RR was my first coaster I went on that had an upside down loop. My heart was beating so hard in line. I had my eyes shut the whole time. I went right back on and did the ride again eyes open. It is now my favorite. You have to decide for yourself. Some people, like my parents, will never or should never go on a roller coaster.
What kind of coasters have you been on before? How did you like them?
Let us know how it goes!

I am scared of roller coasters!!!! I can't do drops!!! RnR is great though. It is really fast, but NO drops. There is corkscrew spin....but its really fun. I always ride it twice...first time w/ my eyes closed and second with them open.

I too don't really like roller coasters but love RnR. I will go on it many times. You really have to try it for your self. It's mostly dark in there and you can't really see to much. No big drops and the corksrew spin is over before you really know that you did it. Good luck.

I've always hated roller coasters, but WDW made me try them because I want to have ridden all their rides. RnR wont' bother you drop-wise because the quick speed at the beginning makes you not feel like stomach flip like roller coasters with big drops. It's not scary IMO, but I don't really like it. I ride it every so often with DH because he really likes it. I don't regret riding it, and it doesn't bother me or scare me, I just don't care for it. I think you'll probably be ok.

RNR is by FAR one of my favorite rides at Disney. The beginning is intense because you get shot from like 0 to 50 in 2 seconds, and there is a loop and a couple of corkscrews. The theming inside the ride is SO cool, though. I would highly recommend trying it at least once, and you will probably find you love it! If you have never been on a coaster before, this may not be the one you want to begin with, but if you have experience will thrill rides in the past (with no consequences, anyway) then you should be fine. I know several people who chickened out riding it 3 trips, and finally the 4th trip tried it and regretted wasting the past 3 opportunities!

The queue is one of the best parts of the ride! You'll be amazed at how well done the pre-show is.

The ride itself only has one bad thing going for it - it's too short! If you think you might be too scared to ride, you'll be surprised at how quickly this one ends.

One tip - press your head back into the seat before you take off. I found it very difficult to keep my head from wobbling all over the place when I didn't. :hyper:

It is really a lot of fun. I like the countdown when you get blasted in your limo....I love dark rides, since I don't see what's ahead, makes me panic a little less.

I'm not sure I would do this ride in daylight. But compared to the wild rides at IOA, this one is pretty tame...for me at least!

Has anyone had their 9 year olds on this ride? We will be there in January and wondering if this ride would be ok for her.

Thanks

My Mum and Aunt were nervous to go on, and ended up leaving the queue, too. But I went on and LOVED IT! It's not as scary as they make it, it's actually really awesome. It's quick, but really, really cool. One of my favourites.

Ride it ... you won't regret it!!! It's the best coaster I've ever ridden!!!

Both of my daughters rode it. My youngest was ten and loved it! My seven-year old will be riding it.

RnRC isn't a really horrible roller coaster. It's fast and has 3 inversions. 1 corkscrew and 2 half loops. The ride goes fast and sometimes you don't even know you've been upside down. Especially the first loop, I can never really tell.

RnRC was my first looping roller coaster and It's my favorite ride at WDW. My tip to first time riders...keep your eyes open! If you're eyes are closed, it makes the whole ride seem scarier and more intense.

Definitely try it just once. It's a really awesome ride!

 Hello...I say go for it! I love roller coasters but my DH doesn't. They make him feel "car sick". But he did ride R&R and liked it. And he felt fine after. I say give it a try. If you totally hate it you can scratch it off your things to do list and move on. :flower: Have fun!

go for it!

its such a fun ride with NO DROPS!!!

and its soooooo smooth

just fast... LOL :jumping1:

Love WDW, love Aerosmith, coasters....not so much. I rode once and though I would like to try it again, I didn't feel so great for several hours after that first ride, and probably won't go again. So many people love it, I think you should give it a try. :earsboy:

Don't let them fool you---you'll soil yourself when it takes off!

It's a great ride, though :teeth:

I love this ride. You can't get me on any roller coaster except this one - thanks to the fact that there are no drops. We were there in November and my 8 year old rode it and loved it! We even got my 64 year old father on it and it was one of his favorites!

It took me 3 years to get my now 12 y/o dd on it. Now, she's kicking herself for waiting so long!!! The only way I know I'm in the 'inversion' is that my shoulders hit the restraints!!! It is incredibly smooth. The take-off is fast though. Anyone with their hair in a ponytail should take it out or move it to the side. Your head is pinned to the headrest. You would be very well served to put your head back to begin with.....better safe than sorry. But, all in all it's a terrific ride. We never miss is and do it several times each trip. Since it's in the dark, you really can't tell where you're going the first time. Then, each time after that you are less nervous so you make an effort to see what's going on around you!!
Try it...you'll love it!!
