I have a slight problem concerning two factors.

1. I'm an Aerosmith fan. They've been my favorite band for as long as I can remember and I love anything involving them.

2. I can't stand roller coasters. I get sick to my stomach on the drops and I always have to skip them.

So in an ironic point of view for me is that there is finally an Aerosmith ride but its a roller coaster. My family has been on this ride multiple times and they always tell me that the pre show is really nice but the line is extremely long. So what I want to know is, how is the pre show for Rock N' Roller Coaster? And more importantly, if someone like me wanted to wait in line to watch just the pre show and then bail, can I do that? Or do I have to go on the ride to watch it?

There's a chicken exit so go enjoy the pre-show! :sunny:

The pre-show and the queue area are neat to see. Filled with vintage '60's and '70's concert posters and old phonographic equipment. And yes, there is a chicken exit. It is located in the garage just before you enter the boarding area for the coaster. So don't bypass this just because you can't do the coaster.

And as for the ride having a long line, get a FP. We've never waited more than 5-10 minutes to ride.

You said you don't like drops and just so you'll know there really aren't any big drops to this coaster. It does go very fast and corkscrew and go upside down but doesn't have those traditional huge hills like outdoor coasters. Also its very short, maybe a minute and half. It is so cool to ride it with that music blasting in your ear. Definitely at least do the preshow, if you love Aerosmith you won't want to miss that.

So there is a chicken exit. Awesome! I'm definetly going to watch the pre show at least. I missed it for the past three trips and I don't plan on missing it again. :cool1:

Thanks guys. :goodvibes

One thing about this ride.....
The music is the best part! If you are a huge Aerosmith fan, you may want to experience the ride just for the music! I was so scared to try it, but when the music was blasting in my ears, and I was singing "Dude looks like a lady" on the top of my lungs, I didn't even feel the drops etc!
Take a deep breath and GO FOR IT! :rotfl2: .....
Even if you don't ... enjoy the Preshow ..... it is great!

I've been doing some thinking since I started this thread and I'm really starting to consider just going on the ride. And the music is the main reason. I think if I just concentrate on the music (like you said) then I think I can get so caught up in singing my favorite songs and it'll be fine. Plus I've talked to my mom who's been on it a few times and she says that its so dark in there that you don't even know whats coming and the fact that they keep you in the bars so tight makes it hard for you to feel anything happening around you.

BTW, what other songs do they play on the ride? :p

The preshow is pretty lame, once you see it once its enough. To save time to get to the ride as you enter the room move all the way to the back towards the doors, when it ends you'll be the first on line to the ride! The music rocks and the ride is AMAZING! I could do it over and over and over again :moped:

The songs change, I think there are 2 different sets depending on which car you're in. There's "Dude looks like a lady" "Back in the saddle" "Love in an elevator" and a couple of other ones I can't think of right now.

this is an Awesome Ride! grab a fastpass, wait in the standby line, use the fastpass
When we first took DS in 2002 he asked us if it goes upside down - we didnt totally answer him. Just said "try it, you'll like it"
Well once we got out he wanted to go again and again

so "try it, you'll like it!"

As far as I know the songs don't change, they're just different depending on which car you're in. There are five different cars & different Aerosmith tracks play in each; each car also has a unique number plate, shown below in brackets -
1. Nine Lives (1QKLIMO)
2. Sweet Emotion (UGOGIRL)
3. Back in the Saddle & Dude Looks Like a Lady (BUHBYE)
4. Love in an Elevator & Walk This Way (2FAST4U)
5. Young Lust, F.I.N.E. & "Love In A Roller Coaster" (H8TRFFC)

Especially like the last car, because they recorded a special version of "Love in an Elevator."
Go, and enjoy!

RNR is my FAVORITE ride! I love Aerosmith, but even if they weren't featured I'd still love it. I went six times last trip and I can't do the rollercoasters with huge hills either. It does go VERY fast, but it is SO great! My sister HATES rollercoasters of any kind and she went on it and survived. She said she wouldn't go on it again, but was glad she tried it. I think you should try it once, who knows, you might love it! :Pinkbounc

Cool!! I always thought the songs were just random. I'll have to print that out and take it with me.

I like number 2 and 4 the best.

The pre-show is ok... I'm not sure it's worth seeing and not going on the ride (one of my favorites in wdw!)... but, if you need to see it without the ride, you can opt out... just tell a cm.

There was a link to a site someone did on the RNR that actually had home videos of the preshow and someone even tried to video the ride! I can't remeber what it was, but I am sure you can google it.

As others have said, it is a smooth rollercoaster! It really is great and not very long.

You should try it once!

I love Aerosmith but hate roller coasters.....I did convince myself that I would be really missing out if I didn't go on the ride so I went! I loved it!! I was going to do the chicken exit but decided to go for it!
I think because it is dark its not as scary because you can't see what's coming or how high up you are and with Aerosmith blasting in your ears, its awesome! I even loved going upside down because I had no idea it was coming until I was in it!!
The whole ride is just so incredible!

Nikki Sixx Chick's favorite band is Aerosmith? Isn't that a contridiction in bands? :rotfl2:

Love Aerosmith! Love the coaster! Love the music while on the coaster! And I even love the gift shop at the end of the ride! Ride it or not, you'll have fun!
