Hi, I'm Robin and I'm pretty slothlike. I work and come home but don't do much physical movement other than carrying or restraining kids, climbing stairs, etc. I enjoy reading (no movement), camping (sitting around a fire or walking trails, low activity), being on the computer (no movement), cooking (moving from spot to spot low activity), listening to music and watching movies on Hulu (no movement).
I know that there is a Tu, Th swim exercise class down the street. I went a few times a couple of years ago. My excuse is that it starts at 8:30 pm and by then I feel "in for the night." My goal is to go to that. Moderate activity.
I also went to a 5day/week fitness bootcamp year before last. I was the slowest, most out of shape there, but felt strong and good and others there motivated me and cheered me on. I am fatter and less healthier now. My 1st dream would be to be strong enough to go back to this, and my 2nd dream is to keep it up for more than the 4 weeks of camp.
Someday I want to be able to climb the rock climbing thing at REI. Maybe climbing could become a new hobby.
Right now I eat what ever I want, mostly. The saltier and sweeter the better (but it's usually organic so I trick myself with that). I eat until my tummy's pouchy, and then I am bloated and feel sad about it. My goal is to eat real food that I make myself (if I want potato chips, I have to make them from potatoes; if I want brownies, I have to make them from chocolate - not from a box). I figure if junk food is inconvenient I will eat less. If I just say no more chocolate covered cherries, I'll do fine until I can't anymore. Then I'll eat tons to reward myself for how well I had done. Does that make sense?
Today's food stats:
so far ate one brownie (now they are gone and I'm not making more), about 20 potato chips (ugh), a bowl of raisin bran with 1/% milk, 3 coffees with 1% milk. Ate a bowl of homemade chili.
Today's activity stats:
did 10 crunches and 10 push-ups with knees bent.
Beginning weight: 161
Goal weight: 135
Beginning pants size: 14
Goal size: 10
OK the 1st step was writing this down
Next step, making sure I have things to add that are beneficial to my health.
Thanks for reading. Supportive comments welcomed
