On the menu it's described as, Pato a la Zarzamora - Roasted duck breast with berry sauce, served with assorted fruits. If any of you have tried it, is it as good as it sounds? It sounds great to me (nice & light).

PS: I saw the other Mexican Pavillion thread on the front page, but I didn't want to hijack her thread. Plus, my question is more specific.

:thanks:

That sounds delicious. You can't go wrong with roasted duck. Has anyone tried this recipe?

It is good but I would not consider duck light. It is a dark bird with a whole lot of fat in it. Now the fat is usually rendered out when it is cooked but still I think it is much richer than most other poultry.

Hope someone comes along soon who has tried it because it does sound good.

By light, I didn't mean low-fat/ low-calorie. I was referring to the entire dish, when I referenced it sounding light. It doesn't sound heavy & filling like many entrees. I should have been more clear. I've had duck many times & know that I love it. It's the preparation I'm interested in hearing about. Thanks for trying to help though. :goodvibes

Next month I was going to get something else but I may just have to try this or at least talk my husband into trying it. ;) It sounds really good to me!

Come on girlfriend, we need you to do this for us.......

You tell Larry we appreciate him taking it for the team.....does Larry take pics of his food??????? We need porn.....:lmao:

We will be taking food pics. We've got tons of meals already scheduled so hopefully we'll get you some good pics. ;) He is a great photographer so I hope we have some excellent pics.

TWO WEEKS from Saturday we will be on our Honeymoon!!!

Oh, this is Larry's first WDW trip so he hasn't had experience with taking all the food pics before.

Okay ladies you owe my husband a dinner because he ordered the duck just for you...

:yay: Will you be doing a dining review???????

Yes we will. I'll go ahead and tell you about the duck though. We do have a picture somewhere - we have TONS of pics to sort through.

He absolutely loved it. He said the berries sounded odd but worked perfectly with the duck. It is the perfect dish for a meat lover as it is a sliced duck breast on top of shredded duck meat. There are a few berries on the dish and the sauce and that is it. No veggies with the dish, which was great for Larry since he isn't a veggie fan.

I had a bite of it and was amazed at how wonderful it was. It didn't seem like a bird. The meat was tender and the taste was outstanding.

He thinks you need to buy him another one now because he is hooked on it. If it wasn't his favorite dish of the trip it is VERY close.

Oh yeah, I kept wishing so bad that I had your phone number that night so I could call you to tell you how much he loved it.

Wow, it sounds really good! It would have been great to have heard from you that night.:goodvibes

Hopefully we'll be in the world together one day and I can buy him another!:cool1:
