Roast Sticky Chicken for the crock pot.......

Roast Sticky Chicken (Crockpot)

4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. white pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 large roasting chicken - rinsed, patted dry
1 cup chopped onion

Combine spices. Rub evenly and thoroughly into chicken, inside and out.
Refrigerate in ziploc bag overnight.

Place chicken in crockpot without additional liquid.

Cook on LOW 8 - 10 hours.

Thank you for posting this! I've seen the sticky chicken recipe on the Web for quite a while, but I was afraid to do it because I don't like cooking chicken at such a low temperature in the oven. It just leaves the chicken at an unsafe temperature for so long. This looks like a great alternative!

very nervous about it......but I still ate it......so I like my crockpot and this is a good alternative.......

I love using my crockpot, but I always seem to make the same thing. This sounds good - and I'm sure my family will be glad to see something different come out of the crockpot.
