The allears menu says "hot items available at breakfast". What kind of hot items? Do they have Mickey waffles?

How is this CS place in general? Is there anything suitable for a late-night snack (using snack credits?)

Thanks!

I have! We stayed at WL last May and ate there several times. While we were there the hot breakfast choices were a breakfast platter (eggs, potatoes, choice of meat & a biscuit), breakfast sandwiches, and a pancake platter. No Mickey waffles, I'm afraid, unless they've changed the menu. One piece of advice....Roaring Forks is very small and has limited seating.....I recommend sending one person down to get breakfast for everyone and eating it in your room.

Sorry, just realized I missed answering part of your question....

In general it's good...but the menu is limited. There's a cold line and a hot line. For lunch/dinner, the hot line does burgers and chicken nuggets and fries, while the cold line offers deli sandwiches and salads. While your choices are limited, the food is fresh and the portions are huge. They have a lot of baked goods, including a fabulous cookie called a Magic Bar, and good muffins for if you want to grab something small and quick for breakfast.

I don't recall how late they stayed open, so I can't answer about a late night snack.

The only problem as I mentioned in my other post is the size...both the area where you order and the dining area are small, and get crowded easily during peak times. If you can send only one person in to get the food, then do so, especially if you have small kids/and or strollers.

Perfect for late night snacks. They carry the norm...rice crispie mickey's, giant fudge brownies, cookies, chips, etc. They also have cereals, poptarts, and a delicious cream cheese danish for those who don't want a hot breakfast. Keep in mind it is a quick service snack bar and not so much a sit down eatery. I personally believe it serves its purpose though people who have been accustomed to the food court at the mods and values are a little disappointed. I have to agree with the pp about sending someone down and eating in your room. Hope this helps!!:goodvibes

I've eaten at Roaring Forks. The place is great! I'm sorry, but I can't remember off the top of my head what exactly we had/what was all there. We ate there several days for a quick lunch and always got late night snacks there. Plus, the place was always clean and the CM's were friendly.

Thank you everyone (sorry I don't know how to do a multiple quote!)

Is there outdoor seating nearby? We've visited the WL a few times, and I seem to remember a porch with tables and chairs? Are there tables and chairs around the pool?

Thanks!!

There is outdoor seating right outside, which we used on a couple of occasions, but it's only 4 or 5 tables. There are only a few tables by the pool as well, but whether or not you can get one depends greatly upon how crowded the pool is.

We went back twice for the FABULOUS sandwiches, HUGE roast beef with blue cheese, and some sort of Ham that DH got. Took them to the airport to eat while we were waiting, sooooo good!

We LOVE Roaring Forks!!!Some folks complain about the smallish size and limited choices, but it works for our little family. DS(now 17) has Asperger's, and the CM's there are soooo helpful and accomodating to him from breakfast to the late night snack - and they have been since his first visit there when he was 10!!!

The breakfasts are great - one big platter serves two of us on DDP as CS.There's a small fixin's bar for burger selections, and the baked goods selection is quite varied, from donuts to cookies, brownies - YAH those magic bar thingy's too - wow! The salads are handtossed to your specifications by wonderful CM's never without a smile, and the sandwiches - roastbeef, ham, turkey - grain breads, all great!

All that said - RF best enjoyed at slightly off-hours to avoids crowds. Seating outside is about 6 tables which are lovely in the mornings, but also greatly enjoyed by the birds!!!!
