Just returned home from a great stay at WL. We had stayed here 4yrs ago and were hoping the CS options would still be good. We didn't have any breakfast meals, but did have one dinner at Geyser point and two meals at RF. First, Geyser Point is as beautiful as the photos. Very nice, very casual, the seating is comfortable and the view is great! You can go right up to the bar, but if you want to sit at a table, a cast member seats you. We waited about 5 minutes and got a table lakeside -very nice. I had the crab cake sandwich with homemade chips and my mom had the breaded chicken sandwich with fries. That chicken sandwich was huge - looked like a full breast, breaded and fried. She got it without the sauce and they gave her mayo on the side. The crab cake sandwich was tasty and the chips were very crunchy. We were stuffed and very happy. There is also a take out counter on the side of the building where you can get most of he same items and take them on tray -there were outdoor tables and also several with umbrellas at the quiet pool. All very nice.

Our first meal at RF I got the cheeseburger with bacon and my Mom got the grilled chicken sandwich. She was able to get the sandwich with lettuce and tomato, and skipped the roasted red peppers and sauce. We both had fries, which were very good and hot. That burger was delicious! My Mom said the chicken was so tender it was like you were not even biting into it. For our second meal, I got the grilled chicken sandwich including the roasted red peppers and sauce, and she got the Wilderness chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets come tossed in BBQ sauce, but she asked to skip this and had them plain. It also came with cole slaw which Mom said was delicious with a little bite to it, possibly horseradish. They had several condiments available, including honey mustard, mayo, ketchup, and BBQ sauce. In short, we were able to customize the meals and found everything to be fresh and delicious. The only disappointment we had at RF was that the soft serve ice-cream machine was not working. It was down for all 8 days of our trip and when we asked they said they it expected it to be down for a "long time". Poor us, we had to "suffer" with Mickey bars instead.

Thanks for the reviews. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge for the first time in November and can't wait.

Glad you enjoyed it! We, too, enjoy the QS options at WL and think the addition of Geyser Point really added to the overall atmosphere of the resort. They are really upping their game at WL! My DS10 loved the bialys at Geyser Point breakfast so much, we now replicate them at home!

In Feb 2017, Roaring Forks shut down for remodeling like the 2nd day of our trip.....but Geyser Point had just opened and it was really nice.
We are looking forward this month when we visit to seeing Roaring Fork being reopened.:dogdance:

Boardwalk Inn had been our home away from home but after the last two visits to WL, I'm hooked!

(Btw Craig &......... Rhyno I believe it was, did a video of eating at WL)

Thanks! I'm so glad to hear this. We will be staying at WL for the first time in September.
