Hi all
Just returned yesterday from our 3 week trip staying off 192 in a villa. Wanted anyone who will be travelling soon to be aware of major road works on 192, it's quite a long stretch of road near to Walmart. The traffic was very bad especially at the Walmart junction, you struggle to get on the car park then it's even worse trying to get back onto the 192.

We had to have two out of four Disney tickets replaced as my teenage son left his and his friends tickets in his shorts pocket, and I washed them unaware they were in there until I pulled them out of the dryer. Disney were fantastic in replacing them, but told me to check pockets next time.

would you say they looked like anywhere near completion of these road works ?

It didn't look like it when we were there last month. I think it's the continuation of the BeautiVacation project that started at the west end of the 192.

The roadworks were there in June. South Orange Blossom trail was also being dug up around the Osceola Parkway

roadworks on the 192 are almost as regular as roadworks on the M6!!

They looked to have a long way to go on 192, there was also road works on I4 heading towards Tampa, on our return journey from bush gardens we ended up stuck in traffic on I4 for over an hour because of it and that was at 10.30pm. If you are heading to Daytona on I4 no problems there, we completed the journey in less than an hour and had a fantastic day.

thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've checked my maps of 192 and it looks like we will be in the clear for our stretch of the road to WDW. I know where to avoid now. Thanks guys!

Oh no! We are going in 7 weeks and are staying near to Walmart, opposite Osceola Square Mall. What a nightmare every time we want to go anywhere.

We haven't been to Orlando since 2000 and it was all dug up near Old Town then. The roadworks over there are worse than the ones here if it takes 4 years to 'beautify' the area.
