Road trip from Texas to WDW

Hey y'all!

I've just joined DISboards and am planning a trip for July 2017.. Four adults and four children... We are driving from Texas to Florida. Do you guys have any recommendations on places to stop during our road trip?

Hello. Just wanted to see if you found any information? I leave in 4 weeks from San Antonio. My husband has to work the day before but now said he is thinking of getting out early and leaving SA around 5pm. Possibly stopping in Baton Rouge and then waking up and driving the rest of the way the next day.

We have road tripped to WDW from TX 3 times. We come from DFW. The best way for us has been doing a longer driving day on day 1 so we can have a shorter day and arrive earlier at WDW. We've liked stopping in Crestview, FL the best.
