Remember earlier in the week when we ate at Kona Cafe, and Victorious was trying to get us to cancel and move us in to Ohana's and we said we would look for a reservation later in the week. Well, guess what?

The staff is all ready...the pager buzzes!

Well, we planned dinner at a good time. This should clear the parks out a bit.

Finally joining in and catching up with your TR. Having 7 in the family must make for an interesting vacation!

That rain is wild! But you're right, it does clear out the parks if you don't mind getting a bit soggy. One of the most relaxing nights I ever had in the parks was a rainy night at Epcot. The place was empty and we even found a water side bench near the Rose & Crown to watch Illiminations. (Mind you it was 2008, so the crowds have gotten much worse since then...)

Gluten Free

I have several food sensitivities: Gluten, Dairy, Artificial Flavors & Colorings, and Citric Acid. I only request gluten free - as dairy in cooked foods doesn't bother me and cheese doesn't bother me - Pretty much avoid milk, american cheese, and ice cream. WDW does an excellent job with food allergies and takes it very serious - even though i'm only sensitive. If it is early in the day, I can usually tolerate it better - have time to work it through the system as long as I'm active...otherwise pain & suffering (gut, joints, muscles, headache).

I get my own appetizer plate - oh is this yummy! Everyone else gets a giant plate of this in the center of the table.

It was good. Made one at home this summer too. Best part is cutting it up and eating the rest of the pineapple (soaked in rum).

Room for Dessert?

So dinner was ASWESOME! They even brought out a plate of Mac-N-Cheese for the kids! The shrimp, chicken, beef skewers....YUMMO! Everything about this place was awesome...but now time for dessert.

Bread-pudding covered in banana foster sauce and ice cream - the Mamaduck kids devour it....where the lady brings more

I get a bowl of berries, GF Choc. cookies and some ice cream. It has been a long week, no issues, so I eat 2 bites of the ice cream and give the rest to the kids.

If you have not dined at 'Ohana's at the Polynesian Resort, please put on your list. This place was amazing! Yes, very expensive, but very worth it!

Stuffed!

We are beyond full...food was so good. It is still drizzling out a bit...so what do we do? We hop on the monorail and we make a few laps. After 3 or 4 laps around, we exit at MK. The two little ones want to go back to the resort as they are tired, so we do. The oldest ones stay at MK. Mamaduck an our two little ducklings head back to POP and retire for the night.

Chapter 13: Magic Kingdom

Happy Father's Day
Today, I am the luckiest guy in the World! It's Father's Day and I get to spend it at WDW with my wonderful wife and awesome kids....so what do I do, I drag them out of bed this Sunday morning for Rope Drop!

Our last trip to WDW, 7DMT was not open yet...close. Then it had a fire if you recall that. This trip, we have yet to make the ride due to timing and FP availability. I did have a glitch with FP+ system and some how manage to loose 2 days. Not sure what happened there, probably user error.

We rush back from the main gate, line is fairly short still, so we hop in...

Great trip report, have made the Minnesota Florida drive many many times. Also lost my father this summer so very sorry to hear about your loss.
