I have just started reading (just finished the tire post) and just had to scroll to the end to tell you this is the BEST trip report I've ever read (and I haven't even gotten to the Disney portion yet)!! Love it. You are super-organized and I am taking notes!! I love getting to "see" the states you pass through on your journey.
Lucky children to have such a fun (and responsible) dad.

Chapter 5: Animal Kingdom

3 and Out!

We have FP+ one after another. Bag check lines are short but going very very slow. I take the kids in and Mamaduck waits in the line....it's HOT out already! UGH...

We skip the family picture with the tree and head over to our first FP+ - 4yo DD did good!

Mamaduck and the 4yo DD head off to It's Tough to be a Bug as we head over to Expedition Everest.

We are on and off in no time and get a frozen treat, some water, and make our way over to Kilimanjaro Safaris, but have an hour to kill.

We spend some time in one of the shops "shopping" to cool down and wait for Mamaduck.

Long-necks don't play with two-horns Sarah (Three-horns never play with Longnecks!)

I'm gonna be a mighty king....

After the safari, we go through the gorilla forest...then off to lunch.

Yeah, first time I think we saw them out...must be. I noticed they quit doing the whole poacher show. 2014 Visit they still did I thought.

Great update. Glad to hear DD did well on Dinosaur. I was thinking of trying it with DD who just turned 8 but gets scared of things easily. (I was going to show her it on youtube and see if she wanted to try it.) But I believe it may be out for refurb when we get there in three weeks.

Yakety Yak

For lunch, we are eating at Yak & Yeti; our favorite at AK. We check in early and not too long of a wait.

Since I have a gluten sensitivity, the Chef's come pay me a visit. I told him what I usually get and what others I'd like....well, its the usual, but that is ok as it is SO GOOD!

Malaysian Seafood Curry - Mahi Mahi, scallops, little neck clams, mussels, shrimp, zucchini, roma tomatoes and red curry coconut broth with jasmine or brown rice.

After we eat, we go on It's Tough to be a Bug. We are hot and tired...we are calling it and heading back to resort to rest and swim.

Great update. Never tried yak and yeti but it's on my Disney bucket list. I know what you mean about animal kingdom, to us it always seems so much more hotter than other parks.
