This summer my family and I are planning on going on a road trip in Italy and Croatia (we drove down the Croatian coast 7 years ago and absolutely loved it). We´ve never been to Italy (well, DH went as a kid) and so we´re all super excited.
If any of you have been to these places, I´d love to hear your tips on what to see and do. Especially if there are fun things for kids and teens (traveling w. 5 kids).
We´re flying into Rome and will spent 5 days there, staying at a hotel in the city center. We plan on visiting the at least the Vatican and the Colosseum.
We´ll then rent a car and drive down to Napoli ( 1 night) and then the Amalfi coast.
From there we´ll cross over to Bari, from where we´ll catch a ferry to Dubrovnik, Croatia. We plan on staying for approx. 5 nights in Dubrovnik and then driving to Split to stay there for another 5-6 nights.
After Split we plan to drive up the coastline and to Padova, Italy. We´re planning on 5 nights in Padova and will go to Venice and Verona while there.
From there we´ll drive to Milan and spend 2 nights before we fly back home out of Milan. We have no idea yet what to do in Milan and would love some ideas!
