I just got an email with an offer to join the Road Runner Sports VIP club for only $1.99. VIP membership offers 10% off regular priced items (in store or online) and free shipping on all online orders.

I recently let my VIP membership expire because I didn't feel it was worth it for $24.99. But for $1.99 it's a great deal. I'll easily recoup the costs within the year just by buying some socks.
One caveat... if you do sign up, note that they automatically renew your VIP membership after one year by charging your credit card. I tried canceling the automatic renewal, but they still charged me. It might have been because I called too close to the renewal date and they didn't get me removed from the system in time. However, I called up customer service and they credited the membership fee back to my account without any hassle.
Anyway, just thought I'd pass on some potential savings.
