On our next trip we plan to drive around & explore Orlando a little bit. Can anyone recommend some good road maps as most I've seen are not very detailed.

Cheers
Mick

Hi Mick - we bought a good map from one of the gas stations along the 192, and also from a shop in our WDW resort - another Rand MacNally's.
Check book stores over here such as Waterstones or WH Smiths as well.

Hi Mick

We got our maps from Amazon but I've just looked and they dont seem to have up to date ones listed?

I think the best ones we got though we bought out there in either Publix or Wal-Mart.

I would offer you one of ours, well, you are welcome to have it - but it is a few years old now, so could seriously be out of date.

Just let me know :D :D

Can actually recommend you two............. but both are published by Rand McNally!

1. Obtained in US RM "Orlando Metro City Map", ISBN 0-528-97507-2 (any book shop knows what an ISBN is) - cost $3.95 in 2002

OR

2. From amazon.co.uk c.18 months ago, RM "Orlando & Vicinity Streetfinder", ISBN 0-528-97875-6 - fantastic spiral bound A-Z type. Cover price is $19.95, but think it cost me about £16 inc P&P. Wasn't a stock item, but only took 10 days to get it.

If you want detail, go for the latter - it covers about 15m north, south, east and west of downtown Orlando and I'd defy you to get lost with it.

A good map is essential. We spent hours getting lost, so don't rely on the free ones you get.
