Agree-We are staying right next door in Surf's Up! and haven't seen the first bug of any kind or maybe we are just to the outside of the Infestation Zone!lolI my opinion "Infested Conditions" seems a little extreme.

As some born and raised in FL surely you know they are just part of life in FL. I'm not a fan of Value resorts but you are way off base to suggest they are bug infested because they are cheaper resorts.I paid $96.00 a night at All Star Sports Center court building during my recent 4th of July long weekend stay. Since we had planned the trip spontaneously and were on a budget, my daughter insisted we stay there. Now, I'm a resort snob, however I agreed with her and gave in. Unfortunately, the minute I walked into the room I saw a tiny roach crawling on the bathroom sink, few minutes later saw one crawling on the wall and finally one in the tub. "I'm from Miami, born and raised in Florida. I know a roach when I see one," is what I told Guest Services when they attempted to make be believe it was a "swamp bug!"

If you stay there, make sure you ask them to have pest control spray the room!!!!
And remember "you get what you pay for!!!!"
Water bugs and cockroaches look alike but water bugs are worse. I'd rather take my chance with one though than to have my children inhale the pest spray. But yes, they can happen in any resort.

On LWTL,they talk about their use of "natural" methods such as the use of Ladybugs, etc. also.Funny, but I find the (comparative) lack of bugs on Disney property concerning. As others have said, bugs are everywhere in Florida. Except many, many fewer on WDW property. It makes you wonder just how much pesticide they are using, because it's clearly effective (again, compared to outside WDW).
