Dear Diary,

First off, i would like to tell everyone, that anything i say is my personal opinion, i don't mean to offend or insult anyone at all. I tend to type whatever i'm thinking and will be using this as a weightloss and possibly overall life journal as well. ^^

I'm finally motivated again to lose weight. And quite a bit of weight to lose as well i need to lose at least 45 pounds. I've been lets say "chubby" all my life and at 16 i found i had triglycerides (cant' spell it) all i know is that increases my chance of stroke greatly. Last year i managed to get within 10 pounds of my goal weight, than i threw it out the window. This year i plan to succeed. I've already joined the 100 day challenge.

I think the real motivation for me now is i want to go to disneyworld and not fret about going to the pools/getting wet and wondering if i'm sucking up too much space on the ride. I want to hang loose and run around like a child and not look like a complete moron. ;_; is it just me or do thin people look good no matter what they are doing. Me and my flab are just embarrassing. I'm only 20 as well, and my mother is constantly saying how my early 20's should be the "prettiest" years of my life and at this point i don't feel very pretty at all. I am definatly going to work hard at this and lose the weight! I shall cut out bad foods slowly as if i do it all at once i'll most likely give up almost immeditatly!

For the next week: Soda pop, You are the weakest link. GOOD BYE!

Thanks for the support :blush: Didn't get a chance to update last night due to :badpc: computer problems.

Yesterday was pretty decent, Not great mind you, due to the fact that my choices of food weren't all that healthy at all.
Breakfast - Rice pudding
Lunch - Chicken strips and fries
Dinner - Cheeseburger

Today i woke up -1 pound. XD but then again that's mostly because in the morning your always lighter than at night. I find that the first 5 pounds are an easy drop due to just eating a little less, after this 5 pounds it'll be time for some exercise! Other things i've found in the past, the more you sleep the more you lose and that's the truth! as well as it helps with the occassional acne etc.

Blarghs, after reading hordes of trip reports and being on the disboards lurking and reading for so long, drooling over all the food, someone brought me back to reality ;_; someone stated that a chocolate mousse brownie from i think peco bills is 600 calories :guilty: Well now more motivation!!!! :cool1: If i can shed some pounds by then i should be allright!!!!

Today i shall stay strong,
Breakfast - Pastry with lotus seed paste
Lunch - Toast with ketchup+cheese and squash
Dinner - Mcdonalds buffalo chicken + fries
Snacks - Seaweed Chips, Taiwanese garlic sausage, Gum

Overall Decent, didn't have any pop today, just had Ribena and Apple juice and water. Craved coke today though.

Tomorrow, blarghs no ride to school. I am a non bussing person. Why? because i'm generally direction impaired and yes i know the solution to that is to ask the driver however i'm also extremely shy around people i dont' know. Especially if they look unapproachable which most bus drivers around here are. Either my dad drops me off at 6am, school opens at 7:30am or i bus it. I think i shall grab a ride and then walk over to save on foods and read in their library section for an hour. until chapters opens. That or go for brekkie :goodvibes
 
HOLY CRAP that's all i have to say right now. I"m so tired....I walked from school to home due to the fact that i had no ride back. I did end up going to school at 6 am and wandered around the save on foods till 7 and then headed to bread garden to have some brekkie. Then classes and the nice hour and ten minute walk home. So tired.
Today has been decent so far
Breakfast: Breakfast Wrap (est 380cals), Chocolate milk (209cals)
Drinks: Ribena 600mls (90x3 = 270cals)
Lunch: Easy mac (250cals), Gelato (b/f treated...mmm...honeydew, iunno probably around 500?)
Dinner: Easy mac!! and some sweet and sour pork
Snacks: Peanut candy(150cals), Pocky (90 cals)

Calorie intake today: 1849cals

Exercise: Walking 3.89 miles = 203 calories burned. :cool1:

Where i think i can improve, Definatly with the ribena and chocolate milk. I can either cut out my ribena completely and drink water and with chocolate milk i should of asked for skim milk.

Ooh today i bought some easy mac at 250 cals per pounch and a Campbells sip a soup cup thing 70 cals. Yum, been craving for macaroni for so long now. :goodvibes

It's almost time to go to work now, so time for more sweating, i work in a theatre and i basically walk around cleaning up, picking up trash in theatres etc. Lots of stairs and sweeping and cleaning. Right now everything is sore even my brain is sore.

Well at work i felt like absolute crap until i decided to eat something, i had a pizza delicious but definatly something like 800 cals. But i felt a lot better. I guess that i didn't have enough sugars or something. Anyways now i'm feeling a lot better. I'm also having 2 scoops of sugar free caramel almond crunch at 88 cals per 110ml.
 

Today i woke up with my throat burning, and a hacking cough. I"m hoping that i'm not becoming sick or anything.

So far the day has been relatively uneventful. I've woken up at 5:30, got dropped off at school at 6am, walked around save on foods till, 7am, and then to bread garden. Had breakfast and headed to 8am classes and bussed home where which i slept for 4 hours. Mom woke me up so i could eat, and after eating back to resting. Almost time for work.

Breakfast:
Sip a cup of campbells soup (70cals)
1 caramel pecan danish from bread garden (approx - 279cals)
Lunch:
1/2 terriyaki chicken breast w/out skin (151cals)
4 baby carrots (15.2cals)
1 bite of sugar free pecan caramel bar (15 cals)
1 sugar free pecan delight (75 cals)
Dinner:
Easy mac (250cals)
1/2 terriyaki chicken breast w/out skin (151cals)
Popcorn (5.5cups, 303 cals)
Dessert:
Watermelon (92 cals per wedge, around 400 cals)
Scoop of sugar free ice cream (88cals)

Drinks:
Honey lemon water (64cals + 11.75cals)
Water

Total cals today: (1710.95cals) or in physics (1.7 x 10^3)

Decent, i think i'm going to start cutting down calories in breakfast and putting it more towards dinner or lunch.

Haven't weighed myself yet, i've decided to weigh myself every sunday at exactly 10am or 12pm. Therefore it'll be more accurate.

Thank you all so much for the support. This journal is really keeping me on track! thanks for the concern and to update i'm not sick!

I found out the reason for my sore throat, There is a fire going on in burns bog, apparently it's destroyed more than 170 hectatres. It's been put out but unfortunatly still burning underground, due to peat wood etc. Because of this there is smoke all over the lower mainland area, where i live as well. And the night before i slept with my window open. No doubt inhaling smoke all night and cause my burning throat. It's no wonder i woke up feeling as if i had been a chronic smoker for years. :blush: Last night i slept with the window closed and woke up fresh as a daisy! well... as fresh as a daisy is at 2pm :rotfl:

Today was a good day, lots of sleep! No school today, just work at 6pm. Next week will be a nice relaxing week, i checked my schedule and i'm only working 3 days and 2 days on call.

Woke up around 2pm and rolled out of bed and went to take a shower. I then wandered around disboards, read a couple wish journals for motivation and read my book i bought recently. (Prize winner of definace ohio) It's a great book, a biography of a mother in the 1950's/1960's of 10 children. Their father was an alchoholic and it accounts how she kept her family from starvation and off the streets by writing jingles etc. It's going to be a movie soon and i can't wait to watch it.

Today:
Breakfast: None woke up too late
Lunch: 1 chicken strip, pan fried (128cals)
1 chinese bun, hot dog with cheese. (couldn't find the exact calorie count so i'm going to assume around 330 cals. That's what calorieking lists as a chucky cheese hot dog with cheese)
Dinner: 2 onion rings (17.27cals)
1 Easy mac (250cals)
2 butterscotch candies (47.4cals)

Total: 458+250+17.27+47.4 = 772.67 (7.7 x 10^2)

Yesterday i thought of something that i wonder if anyone else has thought of. With lets say a package of easy mac and cheese, after i make it, there's always cheese stuck onto the bowl. Now i've already calculated that it'll be 250cals but obviously the cheese stuck on the bowl counts towards it. What do you do? Do you round down for calories? Or do you scrape the cheese off? If your wondering, i did option two :cool1: and it tasted good.

Tonight was good! i went to work and gave my red bean cake away (190cals) and instead had 2 onion rings (craving) and 2 candies instead!
 
Last night at 1:28am, i tossed and turned and than i ate :blush: Damage wasn't too bad, but i dunno, at first i had a bite of granola bar to deter hunger, but then afterwards i just kept eating and i wastn' really that hungry. And i still tossed and turned until around 2:30am. It wasn't hunger at all, i was just restless.
Since it was 1:28am i'm going to calculate it towards todays calories. I should count it as yesterdays but blarghs! (Blarghs is now my favorite word Blah + Arghhhhs together)

Today:

Today was an interesting day, woke up and bussed to school. Before class i decided to have a blueberry muffin. Very yummy, then i went on to have my japanese red bean cake. All of this was consumed by 8:30 in the morning. My b/f picked my up from school and we proceeded home where i found to my delight :love: my wdw vacation planning guide :goodvibes so happy! my first one i got was so scratched i couldnt watch it at all. Does anyone have any idea what i should do with the scratched one? Anyways after i decided i was hungry, and he took me out to eat. I know that meal was like more than half my calories for the day. but it was a one time thing, i won't beat myself up for it, instead i'll exercise harder.

Went to a job fair today and got a second interview!! :cool1: The lady was so nice, and said she was going to steal me away for her store which is closer to my house :earseek: She just got married so she's gonna call me back in 10 days for another more formal job interview. Yeah! :cheer2: Now i really want to lose at least 2-3 pounds so my clothes fit a little better. They were still tight today.
 
So far i've done decent, only 2 days till my official weigh in. :scared:
But i think i'll do allright. I've had some good days and some bad days so far.
I woke up super late again today, Yeah to no school! Had a shower and then lazed around on the computer, i'm going to get some hula hoops in tonight and some minor weights, and some stair climbing after work.

Breakfast: Nothing Too late
Lunch:
1/2 piece of chicken breast w/o skin (133cals)
2 cups diced watermelon (97cals)
Dinner:
Slices of pork cooked with soy sauce (131cals)
1 japanese red bean cake (190cals)

Total: 551cals (holy crap i should of eaten more)

I haven't been super hungry lately, i think i'm more of a "i should eat cause it's time to eat, and look there's food" kind of eater. I can eat and eat and eat, but when i'm hungry, it doesnt' take that much to fill me up. The pro's and con's of writing down calories is, when i do i can tell how much i'm eating and i really rethink my food choices when i do. But the cons is that i'll think "oh look i only have 700calories, i can eat this 800calorie pizza" and eat it for the sake of eating it.

Went to work with a nice healthy dinner packed, i got so frusterated yesterday with my computer, because it is touch screen and it wasn't aligned properly. That all i did was work and work well angrily muttering in my head. By my break time, i was just so frusterated that i didn't even feel hungry. I asked myself if i was hungry and my tummy didnt' gurgle or cry out in hunger, so i went to watch a movie. Actually my tummy was quiet all night, even after work. After work, i went home and got frusterated with my little bro so i went to sleep.

Anger my weightloss solution.
When i get angry, instead of lashing out or anything, i sleep oO
 
I woke up late again! (12 hours of sleep last night)

Wow, i'm either super tired because of my early classes/work late schedule or just sleeping as much as i can!

Today is going to be a real test for me, as tonight is my works bi-annual sleep over. Which means, Hilarious talent shows, lots of snacks, all the pizza you could eat and a dessert table! It's an all nighter, with movies playing, x-box etc on the big screen, (i work in a movie theatre), free arcade games all night. It's going to be awesome!. Yeah there actually is no sleeping involved. Oh yeah and all the soda pop/koolaid/slushie you can drink. :Pinkbounc Excited but man, i can see my diet being thrown out the window. However if i keep my lunch and dinner within reasonable limits, i can probably have a slice of pizza, some chips and a couple cookies.
Chips will be roughly 258cals/22chips, cheese pizza (320cals/slice), cookies (75cals/cookie) = 870cals
My target calorie intake should be around 1400cals/day so that leaves me 530cals for the afternoon.

Uh oh, going out with paretns for food shopping,
Pros: Can pick up some healthy low cal foods :love:
Cons: Can eat some unhealthy greasy fast foods for lunch

Breakfast: Nothing too late again :rotfl:

1 toffee with chocolate inside (45cals)

Went out with parents and exercised much control :banana: I was debating whether or not just to have a sandwich, but since we were in a kinda fast food chinese restaurant i know they butter the bread on both sides and grill it. oO So i decided to get spagetti my favorite and portion it. Got Lemon ice tea but didn't use any of the sugar syrup, instead bugged my diabetic mom for some of her equal.
Went to costco and bought some cheesestrings (60cals) and beef jerky (80cals)

So far i'm doing great calorie wise, if i can hold out till my snack of chips, pizza and cookies i should have around 1000 calories to play around with. :love: Pizza and cookies yeah!!!

Just back, it's 2am, decided against staying because i was getting bored and well i kept eating!!! Anyways, apparently one of the people i said i knew to the interviewer (rogers) STOLE, so now i'm probably not going to get the job. But that's okay i guess. I was kind of looking forward to it, but i'll just try elsewhere.

I've enjoyed reading your journey, thus far. Good luck tonight! Those long nights can be killer surrounded by naughty food calling out to you. The coffee shop at my work calls to me quite often. (especially rocky road fudge.) You can do it!! :)

I, too, cannot sleep when I'm hungry. It keeps me up and drives me crazy. A little snack before bed goes a long way!

Today was a BAD DAY!! so bad that i will log my calories as a bulk number and not even bother writing out everything (3291cals) Yes you read correctly. I pigged out big time today, I ate everything, i went out and ate, i shopped and snacked, i went to an interview and ate after, it was terrible. And to top it all off i feel digustingly full.

Yesterday at the sleepover i saw several things that really want to motivate me to lose weight and stick to my diet.

1) A picture of me, i looked so huge, and i was so concentrated on trying to look okay in the picture that i wasn't even smiling, i looked kind of like i was just there. Everyone else was laughing and goofing off.
2) All my nice interview clothes don't fit, and i've had a couple interviews lately and i look like crap. I dont' have a single nice dress shirt and i haven't been compelled to go shopping for one, cause all of the nice white dress shirts are all too small. And the ones that i've seen that fit, aren't slimming at all. They make me look large and boxy.

I stepped on the scale today and looked down at a shocking 185pounds, I'm 5'10 but still. The most i can weigh at my weight i think is 170 or something like that. But i'd really like to be at 145ish. I was around 190 last week so i've lost a bit. I'd really like to be down a pound or two by next week. I'm supermotivated now!

Things i've done so far!
1) Bought a whole bunch of low calorie foods, that i actually really like.
Beef jerky (80cals)
Hot rods (chicken) (35cals)
Jello (8 cals/half cup)
Lean cuisine (diffent kinds, 180-299cals)
Sip a soup (110-130cals)

I"ve decided, from now on that i'll lay out my food plan in the day and then, through the day i'll have to stick to it! That way i can figure out how many calories i eat etc. I'll give myself a couple options as well, such as i can trade in a food for something equal or lower in calories. That way i can still be a little flexible.
 
I'm going to take this week by week now. I'm hoping for a 1-2 pound loss per week.

11:30-5:30 (Work)

Looks like it's going to be another long day, Although i hope to get in a nap after school, and sleep early. As well as cram in any homework i might have.

Campbells cream of broccoli soup is vile. Iunno, i usually love it, but it wasn't creamy and cheesy like it should be it was really, kind lumpy and gross. oO kept reminding me of boogers. *gags* So i drank about half of it. And ate 2 hot rods, so i'm still following the menu thus far.

5:33pm
So yeah, work was super confusing today as they were short staffed everywhere and pulled me from night to work in the day. Because of this they gave us free food during our breaks. I did take home a pizza for my daddy though. xD yeah 800calories that won't go to my thighs!! I did splurge a bit and eat a chocolate chip cookie, but i think that i've alotted enough calories for it. As i didn't finish my soup this morning so 155-65cals it was tecnhically a 90calorie cookie. And a very yummy one at that. Tonight b/f is coming over :Pinkbounc Hopefully we'll eat at home so i can have my lean cuisine and stick to my diet!

Omg i slep from 5:33 all the way to around 9:30, i vaguely remember b/f being around and being smothered with kisses, where which i promplty kicked him away with my foot, i was sleepy. He left by the time i woke up, apparantly waiting around for 4 hours, watching your g/f drool and snore wasn't in his job discription. :rotfl: Woke up pretty hungry, the first thing i did was make my lean cuisine, the second, help my self to some bamboo shoots. And i hate the chicken. It tastes like it was boiled in water and the sauce was thrown on top. Not to say that tha'ts a bad thing, but it also has that day old chicken smell. Yucks, so i ate all my spagetti noodles just not the chicken. I'm going to cut 80calories for not eating that chicken, and give myself a large pat on the back for not eating the pizza in the fridge. Made my Sugar free jello, at 8 cals per serving i can eat the whole bowl later! :love:
 
Welcome to WISH! :wave: It sounds like you are on the right track! Stopping the soda habit is a big step!

I am like you, I like to plan out my day so I know how many calories I am eating. I use FitDay to calculate all my meals and have everything planned out for the following day. It helps me to actually print out the daily plan and check things off after I've eaten it....

Last night i headed out to save on and bought 4 different michellina's advantage meals. The calorie count ranged from 170-200cals. Although i'm a little worried it might not be as filling as, the pepper steak only comes with veggies, not a carb like rice or pasta beside it. I added a couple more choices today and a snack for breakfast, just in case dislike the soup again. With this many low cal snacks already added into the count, i shouldn't stray too far!

7:30am
Going to head out to school now, i'm armed with 2 hot rods and a soup to go, so hopefully i won't get too hungry till i get home. Took a sip of the soup and it tastes good ;) i did semi load it with pepper though, but pepper is 0cals oO well unless i eat it in buckets. :rotfl:

10:25am
Drank about 1/4ish of the soup (27.5cals) Just not that interested in it at all. Had one hot rod. Feeling sleepy, time to go take my nap before work.

3:13pm
Just had lunch, super yummers!!! It was a kinda small portioned but with a hot rod and watermelon it was very very filling. It just has to hold me till 8-8:30pm, where i will have another yummy frozen entree! :Pinkbounc

12:13am
I messed up today, but i won't get angry with myself. Because i know if i do, all that will happen, is i'll get frusterated and throw my diet out the window. I WILL NOT GIVE UP. Yes i messed up, i ordered a cheeseburger w/ bacon after i had my lean cuisine, but i also, did not eat a cheesestring + jello. I did not eat the whole chocolate bar, i actually stopped after 1/3'rd of it. Yes my calorie intake goes up, but then again, i'm not even over 1100calories. Tomorrow is still another day. And today is not messed
 
What the heck is a chicken hot rod? :confused3

Looks like you are doing good sticking to your plan. Be sure to drink lots of water (at least 64 oz per day) and incorporate some fresh fruits and veggies into your diet! There are lots of single-serve canned fruits that would be easy to grab and go while you are on the run.
