We'll be @ WDW heading from the Riviera to Hollywood Studios on Tuesday, October 12, so I can only assume that, between it being the second week of the 50th and post-Columbus Day weekend (plus Halloween stuff gaining momentum), it's gonna be busy. So when it's busy--and especially when going in the morning to catch the extra 30-minutes for Deluxe guests before the park officially opens--which is FASTER: Getting on the Riviera station & having to transfer @ CBR OR walking from Riviera to CBR & getting on @ the station there? Or, Ubering, lol? Just hoping to get to HS quickly & early (to get toward the front of the line with other early-birds to get in & get to ROTR before the wait time goes to 180 mins).

Ubers are usually let in with the cars for parking, and that is sometimes after the buses/skyliner/walkers get to the gates. I would think the direct to CB station would be faster because I’ve seen people get off from Rivera and have to get at the end of the line for HS..

Walk to CBR by 7:30-8am for a 9am park opening. Get there before the crowds from POP/AoA get there to transfer. It’s only a 15 minute walk. We did this in April and it worked well. It got super crowded at CBR when it started running. Last week we took an 8:15am skyliner from Riviera expecting a wait at CBR, but it was empty. Of course this was last week on the last day of boarding groups, not next month. Double check the time you should leave Riviera from what I said due to the 30 min early park entry.

Just check the Riv Skyliner line on your way towards the CBR hub. It's a half mile walk between the two stations, so it's all your choice.

IMHO skyliner is faster.... where to board is your choice but I would just board at Rivera and switch as I don't think I can walk faster than the skyliner lol.

Slight clarification, the 30 minute morning extra magic hours are for all WDW resorts (and select partners) not just deluxe. The 2 hour evening extra hours at MK and Epcot are for WDW deluxe and other select partners.
