We are headed for a poly/riviera split stay in a week. So excited!

can anyone who has been recently share their recent experience of getting to DHS in the morning for Rise of the Resistance passes? Just wondering what time I should plan at being at the bus stop or skyliner station in the morning?

thanks!

We stayed at Riviera last month. We headed down to the Skyliner station around 8:45 and there was already a line (which appeared longer because of physical distancing). They started loading the Skyliner a few minutes after 9. IIRC, we were inside DHS by 9:25. CBR has since reopened, so the transfer time at the CBR station may take longer.

We were successful in getting a boarding group (23) for Rise of the Resistance for the two of us.

One suggestion in your attempt to get a boarding group. Shortly before 10 am, sign out of the MDE mobile app and then sign back in.

We were at the poly last week. For our Hollywood studios day, we were at the bus stop at 8:45. A bus didn’t show up until about 9:15. By the time the bus finally got there, there were a lot of guests waiting for the bus. The bus driver seated groups of people on the bus. The bus is set up for social distancing, so only a set number of guests can ride at a time. We all made it onto the bus, but I will admit that I was nervous that we wouldn’t get a seat - even though we were the first guests waiting at the bus stop. We made it to Hollywood studios and thru security by around 9:35.

If you are considering driving to DHS, they are holding cars at the toll booth until 9:15 or so.

Not sure if the protocols have changed since reopening but back in March we opted for an Uber to HS rather than the Skyliner to help ensure we got to the park early. Also, I'd recommend NOT using the Disney wifi and be sure to close the MDE app and reopen as the queue opens.

When we stayed at the Poly in July, driving or Uber would have been a disadvantage due to how cars were held up at the toll booth. I can’t recall specific times, but we arrived at bus stops 30 minutes ahead of when they were scheduled to start running. While we were there, the Polynesian left a voicemail message on the room phone each night and had a whiteboard on the second floor of the GCH listing transportation options and times. As another poster mentioned, you could run into an issue with not getting onto a bus due to the social distancing. Arriving 30 minutes early worked well and alleviated stress. Be aware of when you arrive at the bus stop compared to others and stand/sit in a spot that shows where you are in line. One morning people arrived to the stop that were looking at it as a free-for-all. Another guest did a great job of taking the lead in ensuring boarding was based on order of arrival. But, he mentioned that every morning of his trip an argument had broken out at the bus stop. Thankfully, that was not my experience. Too, as others have said, don’t use WiFi when trying for a BG. Too, if you don’t see your entire party listed when getting your BG, make the reservation for who you can see (or just yourself) and then find a CM outside of ROTR for assistance.
