That's what has shown up on MDE but nothing is bookable yetsorry but i've not really read up on rivers of light opening. Do we know is a dinning reservation at Tusker house will get me seating there? Thats the rumour i heard
According to what showed up on MDE there would be a quick service package option at flame tree, a regular table service option at Tusker house, and a signature option at Tiffins.Until it opens there's no way to know. That was supposedly the plan with a projected April 22nd launch. Now RoL is postponed, possibly into June, Tiffins may well be ready. There was speculation when the dinner package was announced, that it was purely a stop-gap as Tiffins is also a little behind schedule.
Hi everyone long time reader. Love reading the posts here. I was at animal kingdom yesterday and talked with someone who seemed to know what was going on they said that rivers of light was having huge communications problems between most of the shows private wireless elements. Some sort of RF interference.
That can't be right. In the summer the sun doesn't set until after 8. Rivers of light needs it to be dark so the show would have to be closer to 9 like illuminations. The same person told me 8 for rivers of light and the new safari then 930 when the new land opens edit: those are closing times not show times
Nope. It will open when they feel confident with it and they get the techincal problems figured out.Any rumors on when RoL may be opening? I currently have an AK day/evening planned for May 24th but it's all based around the new show. I'm debating whether I should keep my afternoon FastPasses at AK or switch to a different park. hmmm.
That Podcaster would be Jim Hill. With the ongoing techincal difficulties I'm not so sure that will happen because they need to just get the show to work first.Another podcaster brought the issue up that Disney's internal tracking was showing that Jungle Book was going to perform well so they were also using the delay to attempt to shoehorn that into the show. Frozen in World of Color again. Given that it exceeded expectation world wide I'm sure that is on their mind now.
Wouldn't it be the ultimate irony if it was RF interference from all the magic bands and related stuff? oooff.
I don't buy the sunken barge statement.Something interesting from WDW News Today:
"As Walt Disney World rolls out the red carpet for its annual summer media preview this week, something BIG is noticeably missing from any and all press releases… Rivers of Light....
While many new attractions we do not have opening dates for as of yet are mentioned (i.e. Soarin’ Around the world, Frozen Ever After), Rivers of Light is not mentioned at all, even though Animal Kingdom does have some announced nighttime offerings....
Whatever the case may be, this latest development makes the situation look possibly worse than we originally imagined. If the show does debut this Summer, we expect it to be mid-way or late into the season."

The article also mentions that there's a rumor that one of the large flower barges has actually sunk.
