Rivers of Light FP necessary?

We will be in AK the night of July 2nd ( I think-another thread may debate this, but that's another story). I am finding that I cannot make FP selections for anything after 7:40, even though the park says it is open until 11 that night. So, I can get to the park earlier than planned and choose a ride FP, or keep the ROL one I just booked for 9:45. Do I need a FP for ROL? I have found you don't really need them for shows, but I have never done it, so not sure for this one. thanks

If there's a second show, then no. If there's only one show or you're seeing the first show, then yes unless you want to arrive an hour or more ahead of show for standby
