Rivers of Light Dining Package Lookout Thread - NOW ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS

We aren't going until October. I guess I shouldn't even bother trying right? I just checked Tusker House and there is zero availability for October 20th. I wonder if tables will open up once they do open the October timeframe. This is a mess.

Zero availability for a regular TH ADR in Oct? I already have an ADR for it in Nov... Do you mean you think they've held some aside for eventual package booking?

If it's anything like the Fantasmic Dining packages it will only be offered during those weird dining times (like 3 or 4 pm) when they need to fill tables.

They won't let you convert a regular ADR to a package, right? You have to cancel and rebook? I have a lunch ADR at TH on 5/29 and would love to get the dinner package.

I think that is a possibility, especially for the fall. However, I question whether Disney held back any Tusker House plans back in November/December when the ADR date opened up for the end of May/First of June, especially breakfast requests which usually fill up on their own. It will be interesting to see how many people are able to grab Tusker House dining packages for the first week of June.

That is how it has always worked with these types of packages in the past. That does not necessarily mean it will happen with this one, but I would expect that to be the case. They have to limit the number of dining packages that are available, which is a fraction of the total ADRs at the participating restaurants.

You'll have to cancel and rebook. Either do this online or from a computer on the regular dinning website. Online when you go to book the new reservation it will say you have an conflicting reservation and would you like to cancel it. If you do it that way they actually hold the original reservation until the new one is confirmed. That will keep you from loosing your regular dinning reservation if this ends up sold out very quickly.

For us I'm guessing the waiting will continue as we're headed to AK on Sept 17th. Thinking we will need to wait until they extend park hours and the JB DP past September 5th.

Each years it's something new to wait for (which I'm not complaining about! Love how Disney is always improving and changing things up.) Last year it was the Be Our Guest Breakfast. This year Jungle Book/Rivers of Light Dining Packages.

Sure keeps things interesting! :)

I think with September the hold up is if it will be JB or ROL. They don't want to sell the dinning package under one and it be something else.

A couple of questions as I did not see them mentioned the last few pages.

Will there be a dinner package with Flame Tree as was previously rumored?
Does this go through July?

We are a family of 5 and I am not a huge fan of Tuskerhouse and much prefer Boma. Spending $200 on breakfast is better though than the $350 it would be for dinner at Tiffins. Would much prefer Flame Tree. Debating just using fastpass but if seating is at a premium spot I could see doing it.

Not announced today.

Unknown. They have extended AK hours into Labor Day, but how long the dining packages go? It is a mystery.

The theatre for Rivers of Jungle Book is pretty small -- 5000 people or so. But there should be 2+ shows a night in summer.

There's no availability for dinner for October right now because dinner is only 4:00-5:00 pm, as AK is scheduled to close at 5 pm. Until Disney extends the hours, you won't see availability for regular dinner, and you definitely won't see dinner packages (at a higher cost than regular dinner) until they are realeased. Just sit tight and wait.

It looks like the Tusket House upcharge is about $5 per person upcharge for the package.

Very confused...tiffins package is already up as well as just regularly booking tiffins, and there is some availability in the morning for the package with tusker house, but none for dinner???
