Does anybody know of any plans to re-open River Country?
We have had many enjoyable days at this watering hole.

From what I understand, it was recently announced that River Country will never reopen. All signage with any reference to it will be removed.

I believe that on Deb Wills site it states that River Country is officially gone. So sorry! I didn't even get to go! Pixie dust for you :wizard:

It's a shame, was a wonderful old swimming hole.I would hope Disney does some good in the old RC area with some kind of attraction or p;ay or picnic area. :flower: :sunny: :earsboy:

Sadly, it was officially announced the beginning of this year that River Country is closed. No word on what, if anything will be done with that area.

Well, rats. We have three free tickets to River Country. They were given to the kids at the end of their Pirates Cruise in 2001. Unfortunately, the Pirates Cruise was at the end of our trip, so we couldn't use them.

Then, we returned in 2004, and it was open.

Oh well

Maybe if you hold on to them, they will be collector's items since River Country will no longer be around??? :sunny:
