A cast member gave us a tour of River Country it is in bad bad shape. We walked the old tube ride and most of the slides. To get this tour we had to agree not to take any pictures because it doesn’t fit Disney image. They are using a part of River Country for Mickey Backyard BBQ.

That's so sad... My first trip to Disney World in 1981, we camped in Fort Wilderness. I have the fondest memories of my parents in River Country letting loose! I never saw that in them again and I can't get them back to WDW to save my life! I have dreams of getting there again.

I mourn the loss of River Country! Though, I do look forward to what is to come, as in true Disney fashion, it will be impressive for sure!

Yeah my family, my DGF and myself all miss river country!! I tried to get a view of river country when I was there in December, but there were huge green screens and I couldn't see. It's sad.

I also remember swimming in River Country as a little girl. It was so much fun!!!!! I loved the tube tire ride and did it over and over again. I don't think my parents could get me off it!!!

if you want to get a look at RC.use google earth and you can see it's in bad shape the water is green!!!!!!!!!

I worked for WDW on the college program for 2 summers my main job was at FW so i still have friends that work there. 1 of my old coworkers gave us a tour.

I'm totally jealous!! I really would love to be able to see river country one last time.
