hi

hope someone can help me with these questions:)

if i order the river belle terrace fantasmic dinner package are we guaranteed outside dinner seating ? and if not how does the fastpass section for the rbt have seats?

thanks!

The RBT dining package includes a FP for the RBT viewing area, located along the RoA, next to the BB viewing area. From everything I've read, you can sit on the ground in the RBT viewing area, even though the information says it's standing room only. The viewing area is not the same as the RBT tables, which make sense because most all of the RBT tables offer an obstructed view of the show (due to light posts, umbrella stands, etc.).

Last Sunday, 1/18 we had FPs from Blue Bayou for the first show. At 8:15, they were letting in both Blue Bayou and RBT FPs at the same place, which was directly in front. I don't know if it's normal to combine FPs from both restaurants for the same viewing area.

We were offered a choice of inside or outside at dinner. The seating for Fantasmic is outside seating on the ground in front of the river.

We did the RBT package on Thursday. We were given the choice to sit inside or out. We both ordered the pasta and it was surprisingly tasty. The ingredients were pretty high-quality. The service was good, as well.

For Fantasmic, we showed up a few minutes after our designated time. They were separating BB and RBT, with BB on one side of a tape line and RBT on the other. We ended up a few rows from the railing and had a great view when the people in front of us weren't blocking it with their phones. (Thankfully, it was infrequent.) We brought a beach towel to sit on, otherwise we'd have been directly on the ground. The area got very full before the show started, and some people who came at the last minute definitely had to squeeze to find a place to sit.

So is the whole section sitting only or can you stand in the back?

soo - when you were asked if you wanted outside seating - does that mean you can sit outside at the tables and watch fantastmic?

thanks for your help!

Not really. Just eating outside during the meal then moving to the reserved section (all sitting) for the show. The outside seating area wouldn't really have a very good view.

When I ate there for the Fantasmic meal I asked this question, and was told yes, if you are eating when the show starts, or right before the show you can watch it from there, or go down to the seating area.

Your view will be better down below in the fastpass area - you won't have the distraction of people walking in the walkway below the Riverbelle dining area (I've sat there several times in the past), but if you want to sit at the table, you can.

I had the steak and shrimp - it was delicious.

Funny how different people have different perceptions of the same thing. We were at Thursdays's show and I felt like there was still lots of open space during the show. DD and I even left space between us so the little girl behind us could have a clear view. We were about four maybe five rows back and had open space on our right and it seemed there was plenty of space behind. We never got the fill all available space thing that is signature Disney. I could move around and never touch my neighbors.

FWIW I agree with those who say the seating is better then BB, we were dead center with BB seating to our right. I though the food was okay for what it was and our server Frank was very apathetic which kind of dampened our mood. Thankfully they seem to have a system down now and it was all very well organized.

Right now I'm signed up for BB. I wonder if I should switch if the RB seating is better and it costs less besides. You'd think the BB seating would be the best for the additional cost.

They are right up against each other, if you prefer BB stick with it, you won't have a bad seat.

Sooo... This might be a silly question... Is the RBT Fantasmic! dinner package a "sit-down served by a server" meal? Or do you still go up to the counter like you would for breakfast? Thank you in advance for clearing up my confusion!!!

The RBT F! Dining Package is a sit down meal.

I'm wondering about this too. I've booked BB for Monday, because it's my four year old son's birthday. I'm wondering if the quick serve Aladdin or RBT might be better. The main problem is that because he's autistic, going in with huge crowds and having to stake out a place ahead of time could be an issue, and my understand with the BB is that you have seating. Has anyone experienced both?

Just to clarify, there are no true seats in the Blue Bayou section. It's all ground seating (meaning you sit on the ground). I'm not sure if that makes a difference for your situation, but some people do ask about real seats (i.e., chairs).

RBT is seated as well. To the best of my knowledge Aladdin is regular FP tickets which are standing. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Our show was at 7:30 with a line up starting at 6:30 and we got there a little after 7, not quite 7:15 and did not wait in much of a line, maybe three groups ahead of us. We were 4-5 rows back with plenty of space behind us. This was a fairly moderate day but it was also only one show that night.

RBT should suit your needs and save you some money. It's the same kind of on the ground seating as BB. We showed up 5 min before the show and still had fine seats. Aladdin fastpass is with the regular fastpass and you'll need to go in an hour before the show and stand in a crowd.
