Are they still winning in January when dues are due???![]()
Still a huge amount to spend on Disney lodging - at least it would be for me. 3700 points * $7pp (avg dues, just a guess) = $25,900/yr or $2,158/month. (Not to mention the initial cost, which I hope isn't financed, LOL). But for those who have that kind of discretionary income, have loads of free time and love Disney, it's no doubt worth it.Disney spread those out over 12 months

That ~$30,000 maintenance fee bill in January is going to be painful. Time to stock up on discounted Disney Gift Cards.PROBLEM???
I WOULD SAY YOU ARE WINNING!!

3700 points is 100 nights give or take in a 1br….
That’s $100,000 at rack rate, or
$ 74,000 if you rent them, or
$30, 000 dollar tax write off….
Just because it is not the right decision for you, doesn’t mean it is not the right decision for others
tax writeoff? I'm listening.Again it is all relative

I used to have a place that routinely had $1000 disney gift cards at 16% off -- but they appear to be going under as they are no longer delivering gift cards...yet they are still advertising them and selling them to new customers.Gonna need some friends to help with the Best Buy $50 gift cards. One per day...
Bought from the same place, was able to get 5k worth of cards through them since last year. It was a great discount on dues! I figured something was up when they started offering 15k worth of giftcards for 12k.I used to have a place that routinely had $1000 disney gift cards at 16% off -- but they appear to be going under as they are no longer delivering gift cards...yet they are still advertising them and selling them to new customers.
My guess is they are running a ponzi scheme, or were using the influx of cash to make stock investments...and while the market was killing it, they had no problems meeting their requirements. I specifically note that they started missing deliveries right around June...which correlates with sudden market downturn.
Well, im making the assumption that those points are being rented….. but even if they are used by the owner your accountant can explain how to write off deductions…tax writeoff? I'm listening.
Buy now and later. Your going to need to get to 4,000 points anyways.
Come on! Do you REALLY think you’ll wait another 2 years to hit 4,000? At the pace you are going I wouldn’t be surprised if Poly 2 got you to 5,000!!!That’s why I’m booked on the 2023 member cruise. Poly 2 points maybe to take me to 4000
We are planning to buy 365 points at Riviera. We plan to finance a portion but will pay off early when we sell our 200 point Poly contract.Well, I got another 200 points with the 'old' incentives.
Delayed closing for 90 days so I can see if it gets any better.
But I have Aug UY so get 2021 points.
Takes me now to 3,700. I think I have a problem.

How do you delay closing to hold out for a better deal?
Yes. I'm not short of points, I have 3.500.
I had always planned on getting some Poly 2 points. I do like RIV and am very happy indeed staying there.
But will incentives get better if the economy tanks.........
You are my hero.
