Airlines rarely have a reason, even not in this market to discount at the last minute, airlines rely on last minute travelers to help offset the costs of discounting all the leisure tickets.

I don't get waiting until the last minute to book a flight in hopes of getting it cheaper. I have always booked my flights months in advance and usually as soon as I decide what week I plan to travel. I have yet to see a cheaper rate after I have booked. I check it quite often just to test the theory too.

Definitely not enough to make the stress worth it. pretty much as soon as i see a good price and good schedule I book.
