Does anyone have advice on getting a spot in the virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance?

Thanks in advance.

Right at 7am, click Join, Join, Join (at least this is what it was on my iphone 11). Don't stop to read anything else on the screen, just click Join on each new screen as fast as you can.
Make sure you don't have any notifications set up on your phone that send you a reminder at 7am. I have an app on my phone that sends me a reminder at 7am everyday that I forgot to turn off. Thank-goodness my DH was able to get our BG's that day!

When I say right at 7am, I really mean right at 7am. The second your phone clock turns to 7am. Not 10 - 15 seconds later. By that time, you are too late.

Before your HS day, make sure everyone in your party has a ticket and a park reservation for HS and they are linked in MDE. This way, when you go to join, the system should automatically select everyone in your party.

Good luck!!

This is insane.
We had the world clock up - we clicked through right at 7:00am, it held up on ”finding my party” which took maybe 5 seconds, clicked Join again and GONE. Couldn’t get a boarding group.

Something about that seems impossible - but oh well. We have a another DHS reservation to try again.

Yeah, it really stinks how quickly they go. Did you have any luck at 1pm?

Yeah, it's a total lottery. I missed out on the 7 AM one the first day but got lucky with a standby group at 1. We had a second day and that time I was able to get a BG at 7. Good luck for your next day.

A few tips I've found that have helped me get BGs a few times (best one was BG 2):
* Make sure the power saving on your phone is turned off. If it's on, your processor may be throttled and it may be slower
* Go outside where the signal is strong and use cellular data instead of hotel Wi-Fi
* Enter the queue screen before 7 (it won't have the join button yet). Then scroll the page down to refresh at/a second before 7:00:00. Anecdotally I remember the queue opening slightly before exactly 7:00 in the past and that can make a difference

Some intrepid folks have timed how long it takes to fill the slots and for the 7 am, it’s about 8 secs.
For the 1pm it’s 10-12 secs. Also- if only one person in your group shows, don’t worry- just join, then go to any of the guest relations umbrellas over by railway to have the rest added. Also- get out of the app all the way about 15 min before, turn off your phone all the way and completely restart it to clear the cache, which will speed things up. Finally, the app does sometimes open up about 659; 1259 so keep hitting refresh!

How Far In Andvace Do You Need To Get Your Rise Of The Resistance Pass

It's on the same day that you are trying to ride. You have to already have valid tickets and reservations for Hollywood Studios. At 7am, you don't have to be at the park yet, but if you try at 1pm, your party needs to have already entered Hollywood Studios that day.

And you need a very quick trigger finger. Once u see join just hit it and hit it again. You can try from home any day as practice at 7 or 1 and if you get a message that says u need to be closer to the park, that means you would have gotten a group. Take a stopwatch and time it from 8 seconds. That’s all the time you’ll have!

Here's the message you'll get when trying anytime you don't have a park pass reservation.

It's really amazing how quickly the boarding groups are gone.

I laugh now at how ignorant I was the first time I tried to reserve a spot. I set my alarm for 6:55, leisurely got up and logged on at 7:01. I was like the dad's in "Jingle all the Way" who thought they could just walk into a store and buy a Turboman on Christmas Eve.

Next chance I was wiser, but still didn't manage to get on.

We were there last year at end of February and rode ROTR 6 times in 7 days. Best advice is to start studying the ROTR thread that was mentioned earlier in this thread. Get your phone and MDE setup good and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Get very familiar with a certain method of going through MDE to get a BG, there's basically two ways to get through it and both are fully explained in the ROTR thread. I start at AT-AT screen and have time.gov on my laptop and exactly at 7:00 am, JOIN, JOIN JOIN. Don't stop and don't think, just press join if you see it! Boarding Groups currently are gone in 5-8 seconds after it starts at exactly 7:00 am.

Well, we're back home and we were 1 of 4 (1 of 3 in the AM and 0 of 1 at 1pm) in attempting Rise. Followed all of the tricks and tips. For us, it seemed like MDE got hung up on identifying our group - we'd click join to move to the "who's in your party" screen and it would hang and spin / load there for 5 seconds or so and that killed us getting a group.

They also have not figured out this ride. I don't want to spoil it so will just say from the point of interrogation room on - our party of 3 was entirely by itself including the only people in the grouping of ride vehicles. It was odd to be the only 3 people getting off the ride at the end. Throughput, unrelated to health capacity constraints is still an issue.

Is it better to have one member of your party try to get a spot for everybody, or is it better to have everybody in your party try for a spot? We were only able to get one day reserved for DHS, and want the best shot of getting on the ride!

Lots of groups have had multiple people all signed into the same account to get a boarding group. It’s usually better in case phones freeze up.

However if you have an issue and need to talk to guest services, Don’t mention multiple devices. They hear that and tell you it’s your own fault and stop helping. Disney claims it’s an issue but it’s really not.
