Rise of Resistance after a surgery?

My granddaughter is having jaw surgery, which takes several weeks to completely heal. We will be going a couple months after her surgery, but want to keep it mild. We are going to cut out the rough intense rides to be on the safe side. How rough is this ride? For those who have rode ROTR do you think it would be safe to ride after a surgery?

I had umbilical hernia surgery about two weeks before we went to WDW. We rode RotR twice during that trip and I had no issues at all with jerking/spinning/dropping on that ride. But jaw surgery is entirely different so her experience may vary. It SEEMS like you are giving it enough time to heal up, but to be sure I’d check with the doc.

Good to know and thanks I will check with her doctor.

Be advised there is one small tower-of-terror style drop on the ride (and it is a physical drop vs. simulated) in the most jostling portion of the attraction, imo. It is still relatively smooth. As always, check with the medical professionals prior to riding.

My first thought was, nope, don’t do most rides. I re-read it, and saw it was months later. She should be good to go, with doctor okay.

The biggest risk would probably be clenching her jaw while moving laterally on many rides.

I bet she has a great time while feeling normal again.

Don’t forget to bring along whatever OTC pain reliever helps; she (And you) might just need it.

Thanks! How far do you guess the drop is?
