I paid $400 to have my tile floor (eat in kitchen/foyer/bathroom) cleaned ($200) and sealed ($200). It was Oxi Fresh. I had never had this done before and I was mostly concerned with the grout, something I had unsuccessfully tried to clean myself in the past. They came and told me that the area was bigger (of course) than the estimate ($300) they gave on the phone. Fine. They said the stains should come up no problem and it would take 1.5 hours. Three hours later, they say they're done. The floor is still wet and I can't/shouldn't walk on it. There is a 6 inch rim around the room still dirty that they say they can't reach because of their machines. Hmmm? The tiles look great but I can't tell about the grout - it's still wet from the sealing. So, I pay them. Next day, I feel robbed. Much of the grout is still stained and shoud never have been sealed. In fact, had I known it would not come up clean, I would never have agreed to pay $200 to seal it in. I call the main number and complain about that and the 6 inch dirty perimeter. After $400, I shouldn't have to clean an inch of my floor. Anyway, the guy wants to come back and make it right, but I don't know whether to trust him or just ask him for a partial refund. BTW, the next day, I had called my credit card company and filed a dispute on the transaction. I have already forwarded pictures to Chase and said that I am looking for a $250 refund ($200 for the sealant and $50 for the dirty rim), but I would be willing to settle on $200. What do you guys think? Sorry for the vent and thank you to anybody that reads this!
