I've never been so what is Ripleys believe it or not like? :confused3

I'm looking for something fun to do on our first night. We get there about 5pm so I don't really want to go to a park.

If Ripleys isn't good - any other suggestions?

We have never been either, but my son is into watching all the shows, so I would love to see some reviews of it. I have heard that others in other cities are just basic touristy places to go.
How about Wonder works? Our son really liked it alot! The Outta Control Magic show was really fun too!

Can you tourist trap??????Go play pirate golf down the street from there!

it's not worth the money. you can't wander and explore the exhibits, it's set up that you are herded through it like sheep. it's like walking through a queue.

I will second that. Ripleys was a huge rip off, way too expensive for one hour. We played the pirate miniature golf and had a blast!!

Some of the things in the Ripleys museum were cool, but we had 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children, didn't have to pay for the littlest one, but for 3 of us, it was almost 60. And all we spent in there was an hour, and saw everything, and touched everything.

Hmm, glad I asked now!

Will have to think about the pirate: golf!

Thanks everyone.

Can you say RIP OFF! Total waste of time (only an hour thankfully) and $. Even my then 9 year old son thought it was cheesy.

Joanne :)

Now we've never done the Ripley's in Orlando. We have done it in Niagara Falls, Pigeon Forge, and I wanna say Mrytle Beach (but I might be wrong and it could of been somewhere else). Anyhow, w/ all the other things Orlando has to offer, I don't think this would make my list.
It never takes us more than an hour to go through-- and well I usually do it to amuse my dh. I find them to be incredibly cheesy. Personally, I'd kick off my arrival night w/ some time at DTD or even CityWalk if you're more of a Universal fan.
