Was thinking of taking teen dd's to Ripley's museum as a side trip...they used to read the Ripley's books all the time!!

Is the museum worth it???

Thanks in advance!!

My DH and I went a couple of years ago and it was well worth it. It isn't something you want to do a second time, but if you've never been at all, I think your teen DD's would enjoy it, especially if they were interested in the books. Some of the exhibits have to be seen to be believed. I think you'll all have a great time.

If you have the opportunity and since your kids have enjoyed reading Ripley's books in the past, I think it's definitely worth it! We've included the museum in several years on our trip and each time there has always been something different to see; set-up is very nice with a gift shop on location. Hope this helps some. :D

Totally agree with D&G - it's well worth doing, but probably a 'once only', although I think we have been 3 times!

It's a good one for a rainy day, and you could combine it with some other I-Drive attractions such as Pointe Orlando and Wonderworks. There are some good restaurants in that area of I-Drive, too. Race Rock is one which springs to mind, although we've well and truly overdone that particular one now.

We were at Ripleys a few weeks ago. It was great for a rainy day. Some of the exhibits were very clever.

I visited at Ripley's Odditorium on International Drive back in May, and loved it. It was a pretty neat place. It took me about an hour and a half to go through the museum, and that was with me taking my time to enjoy all the exhibits. It's pretty cool. The pool table room was so bizarre! (You'll see!)

WARNING: When you get to the exhibits, whatever you do - DON'T ROLL YOUR TONGUE IN THE MIRROR!!! You'll know what I mean when you get there!!! :earseek:

Hope you enjoy Ripley's! :)
