Some how no one mentioned the passing of 'The Big Man'.
Clarence Clemens, saxophonist for the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
Passed June 18,2011 age 68
He took with him a piece of my youth.

Oh yes indeed, he was a very cool guy, loved his music, he was the backbone of the E Street band.

May he rest in peace.
 

Whitney Houston 48 - I am not shocked but saddened, she was so talented.
 
Such a huge talent wasted by drugs. I'm sure the Grammy's will have a nice tribute to her.
 
Sad.:sad1: He was supposed to be at Flower and Garden:flower3: this year too.
 
Earl Scruggs died March 28 at 88 years old.

I grew up listening to my dad's record (as in a real LP33) of Flatt & Scruggs Live at Carnegie Hall from about 1963. It's a classic and now I have it on CD.

Earl revolutionized banjo playing and inspired generations of banjo musicians. He will be missed.
